With the acquisition of set #6273 I have officially completed my collection of the entirety of the 1989-1991 "Bluecoat era" of Classic Pirates! This was a joy to build!
I just missed out on a bulk lot that had this set hidden in it. (Or at least the baseplate, boat, sail, and a couple of figs)
Looking forward to seeing your whole build come together!
I think #31120 makes a wonderful playset - I like that it is a completely enclosed castle but opens easily to access the interior.
Even though not part of the instructions it is possible, I know because I built it without the busted glass front, and needed no extra parts.
We just reached our 6 Month City Update milestone, hope you guys like it so far!
Forestmen rule! 😋
I'm a Camoflaged Outpost man, myself
🤪🤪🐺🦇
(Good thing you didn't see the back!)
Ambulance, Dry powder unit, heavy rescue, heavy pumper and tellesquirt.
Based at one of Octan's energy sites.
(And yes I just noticed the missing side mirrors from the tellesquirt...crap.)
Command car (MOD of #60203), 14 (1000L 4WD) unit, 34 (3000L 4WD), new tanker, old tanker and urban pumper.
(I know! but I've just never had the space before!)
I've clearly got soft, because this is brutal.
30 bags, 15 of which are numbered "1" so that's about 1,000 pieces to deal with all together, possibly as much as 1,500? The instructions are old-school 10-30 pieces at a time too.
I've never been a sort-then-build kind of guy, so they are all in a big tray.
2 hours of building while watching TV and I'm about 8 steps through. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Makes me realise how much Lego hold your hand through the build these days.
Turns out that might have been an expensive decision though!
This isn't it - and it looks very toy-like compared to the figures.
I seem to have mislaid several pieces though.
