    Avengers, Disassemble!

Much as I like the Dark Red and Gold colour scheme of the Iron Man Helmet, he had to come down to make room for the Fettman.

I must admit, I was a bit dubious of the studdy nature of the helmet line when they were first released but they have grown on me big style. Look forward to picking up the two new ones in the near future.

Yes it is. Beautiful build (if somewhat fragile in places).

FYI, if you're having trouble getting hold of the Trans-Black canopy (32086), I heartily recommend getting hold of 32086pr0001 from set #7166 or #7264. Hell of a lot cheaper than a plain Trans-Black part (managed to pick it up in a really good used condition for about 70p when I built mine).
I was going to try and remove the print, but after building it, decided it looked okay with it left on.

I read somewhere, maybe on rebrickable, about that substitution. Got a few other projects to bricklink first but have had to put them on hold until we get a moving date so I know what address to put on the orders!

A tractor. I call it the git tractor, as it is one of those annoying builds that falls apart as your try to build it. Wish I have never started...

Well, the 2 year old destroyed this in about 95 seconds. Such a fragile build. Will need to find an alternate tractor model now!

    You're not wrong!

Guess I need to find a tractor model that is child proof!

Have a go at the Ferguson Tractor (minus the mudguards as they are a bit flimsy) as it's a wonderful little build and most of it's sturdy enough for play (so I'm told). ;)

Simple, build then give your kid #60287 Tractor from the 2021 City range. Its a fairly sturdy model and I'm sure he/she would have great fun pushing it around the floor!

I did show him that in the toy store and he was not impressed! Maybe because it was not blue.

Think i may trying to find a generic chassis design and build that using the technic bits and huge wheels i have then try to bodge a body on it afterwards.

Over the past couple of months I've been building a modular Chinese Restaurant to sit next to #80107 Spring Lantern Festival set. Having made myself a lightbox today, I decided to test it out by taking some (hopefully) half-decent photos of the building! :)

This is INCREDIBLE!  Usually when I see MOC modulars (including almost all the ones on Lego Ideas), they look plain and/or boxy and don't have the finessing of the details and the character that Lego's modulars ALL have (except Market Street - which is not a good modular)...but this one has all that!  This restaurant has such intricate details and interesting construction techniques.  If you told me this was next year's Chinese New Year set that leaked, I'd have believed you!  I wish it was an official Lego set!  Please put this on Lego Ideas.  (They never approve modulars, but at least then I can hope!)

It's a beautiful day! Windy, temp is 39°F (4°C), rained during the night, so everything's wet... but it's my birthday, I'm at Lake Superior, only 12 miles from Betty's Pies, so... a beautiful day. 😃😃😃

I built these in the beautiful picnic shelter, which was built by the CCC in the 1930s. The temperature today has been 39° most of the day- it was 41° at 5 a.m.-ish. But it's at least 50° in here, maybe 55°.

I knew @CCC was old, but either he's a Sith, or a descendant of Númenor.

Thanks @pxchris! I just finished #71704 Kai Fighter. Red Lego pieces almost glow in natural light, even overcast like today. I think this set needs some Flame Yellowish Orange, though. DOTS 1/4 circle tiles to be added later!

Finally built the spring lantern festival after sitting on it for a week due to other obligations.

This was my favorite build in a long time, between the novel parts usage, the well done decoration, and the excellent build process for the pond.

Trying to decide between the Creator Pirate Ship & Spring Lantern Festival.  Recuperating from oral surgery earlier this week & am finally no longer in excruciating pain so I need to build something to pass the time.  I also need to rebuild Changing Seasons to the summer version since winter is finally gone I hope.

Buiding #375-2 Castle seems like a good way to prepare for tomorrow's launch of #31120 Medieval Castle.

    Next up: #6074 Black Falcon's Fortress, #6073 Knight's Castle and #6080 King's Castle.
No raised baseplate castles in my collection - I was not a fan; I preferred being able to connect my castles to make a larger one.

Wow! I’m really jealous! Nothing says Lego to me like the Yellow Castle. Always dreamed of owning one but a nice set with box, knights and stickers is way out of my price range. I did get the Legends Black Falcons set. I wish Legends would have stuck around long enough to do the Yellow Castle.
  • YellowcastleYellowcastle Administrator, Moderator Posts: 5,234
While I appreciate all the kind words, Legends and I were only ever just friends. 🤪

@GrannyLEGO that build looks great!  My favorite part of that picture, however, is the labeling system for your loose parts, especially the one titled “other ??? stuff” !  🙂 I need a drawer like that for all the parts that defy classification...

I have small, medium, and large bins for “Miscellaneous”. No decent labeling however.
