This is the stupid tree in the Whomping Willow #75953 set. The car is supposed to be able to br snatched up into the branches but it won;t stay up there worth diddly. The tree itself is ugly and not very tree looking. It will almost certainly be deconstructed soon.

I've been building a MOC based on a certain robot from Disney Infinity. He's not quite done, but he looks quite...huggable, and non threatening. He's also got the most detailed articulation of any MOC I've ever done, and is scaled for minifigs(to hug, natrually.) V1 is floating around here, if you look, V2 has removable armor added, no pictures yet.

The cockpit canopies are supposed to be Transparent Light Blue to match the turrets, but I can't find them! I saw them three days ago when I started this. I'm trying to put teeth on the mouth (without paint). This is from the 2003-2005 Clone Wars micro-series.

Over the last month or two I have been working on building a set of MOC instructions from Brick City Depot - a Bakery. Most frustrating for my impatient self to wait on ordered parts! I can see why many of you have whole rooms or basements full of parts!

As you can see there are a few minor incomplete spots on the ground floor, primarily the sign and the area below the front windows. My patience ran out!

I added a couple of jumpers in the floor to hold the chef and the customer in place but did not change much else inside the bakery. The old couples one room apartment had a bunch of changes due both to lack of the parts wanted and dislike of what was done. The stupid TV (in the lower right corner) is far too big and awkward for the space!

The backyard was dismal in the original with just the trashcan, some minimal plants and some big gray box thing I wasn't even sure what it was so as you can see below I did it a lot different!

Done! (or done enough anyway) now I can take it apart to have parts for something else!

This has to be one of the more daunting Star Wars MOCs to take on. I've seen it attempted a number of times, but unfortunately the elements just are not around for it to be 100% accurate. Personally I would love to see it in the form of an official set, as unlikely as it may seem right now. All the same yours looks awesome!

Just cracked open #10218 Pet Shop. The youngest was jealous after Grace had her Newbury High School finished and wouldn't let Ellie play with it. Having access to pet shop should stop the moaning. We've lots of animals to supplement those that come with (various Lego dogs, cats and a rabbit).

I've just finished working on someone's MOC of a cemetery. Nice design although the drawback to those using the design programs is some connections may be possible but they are flimsy and do not hold up in reality. The challenge of dealing with those issues and with coping with parts I don't have or have enough of is fun. I did want to share one little piece I added to the sidewalk in front of the cemetery ...

I had a minifig with the briefcase and the bus stop sign I got hold of somewhere and I started to put it out there just like that but then changed to the skeleton just for fun. You can see a little of the cemetery itself in the background.

@GrannyLEGO, this is why I've gotten into the habit of building test assemblies when I'm suspicion of part of build I'm working on, in the early days I'd find the occasional design idea would have issues & have develop a work around. These days, I'm pretty good at spotting a potential issue as I design, I build a mock-up of the potential issue, test for structural integrity & then figure out what's stopping it from working. This is why all my Microfighter designs now are 100% build-able & most are up to the same rough play standard I figure TLG has for the official ones (for such small builds they can stand up to five year olds swooshing them & losing grip). There are actually some good methods in the Star Wars Microfighters for compacting & reinforcing builds, could be worth your time downloading a few of the instructions to see some of techniques used.

@tr100, just looking at your chev logo, could the 61409 slope with slots be a more streamlined method to achieve the result you're looking for? Overall, nice build, love the colour scheme.

@VorpalRyu I'm still trying to build my parts collection and seem to have more workarounds because of part shortages. Now if the budget would just cooperate I could simply order all the missing ones! Would sure be nice if life worked that way. More designers should do test mockups! Do you recommend any in particular of the Star Wars Microfighters for reinforcement techniques? I'm not a big Star Wars fan so I don't know much about those builds.

Finished the pet shop and pleasantly surprised how robust it is - apart from knocking off the chimney pots a few times, it has stayed intact in the hands of a 5 year old. One missing part - a 1×1 LBG plate with horizontal clip for the guttering down pipe on the house half of the set. Sure I have loads somewhere but could not find one.

Just finished my first Architecture set - US Capitol Building. Absolutely love how it looks! I’m a huge fan of the architecture series but my budget generally always goes to City/Creator Expert. Saw this on sale for 20% off at a local store and couldn’t resist. 

Found a tiny mistake in the instructions - It says you only need 1 of each pieces but then asks you to build it 4 times haha. First mistake I have personally noticed in a build. 

Can’t wait to get more architecture sets (now I just need to find space to display this).

My wife bought me the book last year. The designs are amazing and I'm planning a MOC using the concepts from it soon.

Tonight after tea we built Lucky Cat. Not a massive Brickheadz fan, but the cat looked brilliant.

I had a lot of fun building #70814 - Emmet's Contruct - O - Mech this last weekend. I saw a few pieces in a bulk lot I purchased several months ago that I never fully sorted out. After a quick search of the part and realizing what set it went to, I had the rest sorted in no time! A quick BL order to finish off the two Robo Skeletons and a handful of other parts, I have a 100% complete set! 

I've wanted this set ever since seeing it on display at a friends house a few years ago. I was just getting back into Lego around the time of the first Lego Movie, so the set wasn't on my radar then. I'm thrilled to add it to my collection now!

I've just built the new Speed Champions Audi Quattro. It's a beast.


Seriously, it's a massive car. I can't believe Lego is promoting 10yr olds driving, because surely that's a child next to it!


In fact it's so big that I dug out a few of my old Speed Champions cars to compare it with.

The new ones aren't just wider, they're on a completely different scale.

It's like the old ones were play toys, and the new ones are display models. There's a huge difference.

Also, I might have to get the others now...

I've been enjoying a bit of diversity with my building of late.
First up was taking apart #42077 to build the 'B' model.

l actually like the 'B' model finished build more than the 'A' model despite the lower piece count.

Next up was #76124.
I love the design of all the Hulkbuster variants but this is the first version I've actually built (I do have the other three versions to build at some point).

Despite the lack of articulation in the elbow joints, I really liked this build and looks great when displayed.

Finally #75240 (big thanks to the heads up by @brickedin pointing out this was half price on Amazon a short while back). Another fun build and really nice to get a Star Wars ship that's a different colour scheme especially with the slope usage on the wings as it looks quite striking. I prefer the design of this to the Sith Tie fighter from the Rise of Skywalker subtheme.

Sooooo pleased I didn't pay full price for it though as when it's finished it definitely doesn't feel like a £65 set.

Next will be to tear them all down so I have space to build something else.

It was left over when the other figs had their helmets on so stuck it on the outrider because I found it amusing & being a person thats easily pleased that was all that mattered.  :)

I spent some time last night tinkering with some flex track sections attempting to create a 90 degree cross over track piece. Not perfect but I think it will do the trick. Gonna give it a trial run tonight.

Ahhh, a good reason not to attempt a city. I've gotten off into these little mini-builds and am having a lot of fun. It is also interesting when I don't have some of the pieces!

i agree with you about this model, but i have the A model displayed because i didn't really want all the extra pieces lying around waiting to be lost.

i agree with you about this model, but i have the A model displayed because i didn't really want all the extra pieces lying around waiting to be lost.

Fortunately it's not an issue for me as the whole thing is now dismantled bagged up and stored.
One of the very few advantages of having absolutely no room for displaying more than 1 or 2 sets at a time.

Taking a break from making myself crazy. I am not sure whether my current build would be a MOC or simply an alternate build ... I am building the #40305 LEGO Store set with changes. The major being instead of two floors of store open at the back it is one floor twice as big with a hinge to open it. The base is a bit more raised than the original and I have stuck a mouse with some cheese under there to be seen only when it is opened out on the hinges.

You can see the hinge to the right and the water tap from the pipe that goes through the mouse space. The interior of the front half of the shop is like the original (so far anyway). I think I need to go get some sleep and maybe come back to it in the wee hours!

More or less finished ... I see the steps in front need a little improvement and that dark gray strips around the walls in the back should go all the way around. I see I managed to knock the pennants around when I was taking the pics and probably needs a little tweaking here and there ... thoughts/ideas anyone?

I had a little down time yesterday and pulled out #75259 20th Anniversary Snowspeeder yesterday. I had a lot of fun putting it together and was able to theme it a bit more on my shelf with a few tauntauns and a wampa.

Finally got around to doing the Chubbybots Hulkbuster mod. This is what the set should have been in the first place. The parts list and instructions are on Rebrickable.

I agree. That is a kickass robot! I could see an army of those in different colors with
different domes for Captain America, Spider-Man, the Hulk...
Do you have to buy the instructions from Rebrickable?
