After letting it sit on my dining table for most of a month, I finally got round to starting #21046. Bags numbered 1 and 2 assembled:

I'm figuring out a systematic way to assess current sets and see if they have enough of the right pieces to build small modular buildings with. I've built an ugly MOC and taken measurements of existing creator expert modulars to figure out what those piece counts are.

I also made a YouTube video where I go into a ton of detail about it. Not sure if YouTube video links are allowed, but here goes. Moderators let me know if this isn't allowed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3utOA7h4VuE&t=3s

After finishing it, I have to say it is my favorite Architecture model so far. They NAILED the proportions and it’s an interesting build despite the huge number of tan grilles. The only thing that bugs me slightly is that the real building has no west façade as it’s up against other buildings. And the cabs are HUGE :)

I bought and started #21318 in August but finally finished it today. Has anyone noticed that there are three colors of leaves in their set? The box and inventory pages say there are only two colors but my wife and daughter agree there are three colors. Even Bricklink says there are only two colors.

Anyway, you'll notice from my picture that I have added dark red leaves. I think it looks much better that way.

Looks like you have some dark red in there.  Mine did not have that. I wish it did as it looks much better.

do they mean colors or color schemes for the leaves?

@oldtodd33 TLG talks about 2 sets of leaves for #21318 Tree House: a set with Bright and Dark green leaves, and another with Light Bright and Dark Orange. What other colour did you find in your set?
Agreed that the dark red leaves you added make it look even better!

I built something much smaller to add to my Halloween display:

(Not my design - instructions available on Rebrickable here)

    Happy Halloween!
That's a great vampire BrickHeadz!  Would definitely buy that as a Halloween set, and may need to Bricklink one myself.  I'd be super tempted to make the fangs glow in the dark too...

Do vampire fangs usually glow in the dark?
But if you really want something glowing you could use the eyes from the Batman BrickHeadz, those do glow in the dark.

Why not both?  I mean, I know it's not realistic, but it just feels like it would fit the general vibe :P

I just finished sorting out and building #4011. Simple, but a fun build and it floats, which is a plus.

@stlux  I should have posted a picture of the leaves that came in the set before with the picture of the tree. The dark red leaves I added because I do miss the changing of the leaves here in Colorado which pretty much sucks compared to back east where I grew up. The two colors of leaves to which I am referring are the two fall colors. If you look at them side by side one color looks like dark orange as Lego calls it but there is enough color variation that the other color looks like maybe medium dark flesh. I wonder if it's a mistake from the factory or possibly color variation due to the new plants from plants scheme. You tell me what you think.

I am not complaining by the way, I like the variation.

I love the colour variation  - my set just came with the two autumn colours but I would have been very happy to get your set instead. I really like your addition of dark red as well.

Both the smaller sets are great. On paper I preferred the Shrimp Boat, but actually the Graveyard set is a nice little build, with some great parts as well.

I paid about £13.50 each. Thought that was good until I saw your €11.50

Finished Destiny's Bounty after building on and off during the summer and in between other sets.  The build is not as much fun as I thought it would be but the final model looks impressive.

Finished building 60226 and am currently doing 75891. Working on them in the basement between laundry loads.

I love that my kids are enthusiastic about Lego, but it's one thing when I help here and there when they build their own sets and another when they try to help me with my sets.

I hear ya, I just picked up a couple of Architecture sets and the eldest is itching to build the Eiffel Tower, we've come to the compromise that I build it first then take it down so he can have a turn.

Almost finished building Eurobricks user Bugbot2008's Treebeard. I'm lacking a few details on the arms and legs, but decided it was ready for a shoot in the forest before the snow came. I was just too late... https://www.instagram.com/p/B4p3S30pdoh/

Christmas has now officially started in our house as I've just finished building #10267 Gingerbread House.
For anyone on the fence about this, I would heartily recommend it. It's a delightful build and the finished product is better in the flesh than any of the pictures that are out there.
LEGO really knocked the ball out of the park with this one and I can honestly say it's the best Winter Village set I've built.

Then you don't really know women that well. I assure you, it's something related to food, comfort, or leisure time, as opposed to whatever carnal shenanigans your imagination is conjuring up.

started #75258 20th anniversary podracer. had space stuff at the top of my backlog pile, and thought of this because I just ordered the simialr #75259

I'm stretching my #75103 First Order Transporter by 12 studs so it can hold 20 stormtroopers. It's easier than I anticipated, because LEGO pretty much just shortened the troop compartment- the rest of it is well proportioned. I'm going to redo the cockpit to have an actual window.
that sort of set is great for army building. I built something out of the parts of 2 #75078 but forget exactly how I combined them

Making the Hidden Side shrimp boat kit, with the Cthulhu-esque fisherman. It's a fun build! Love that minifigure in his sou'wester, and also the female figure - I've heard this theme has a lot of repeat figs (I've only got two sets and already have two of the boy with the hoodie), but the actual figure designs are terrific! And the little ghost dog, of course...

I'm going to have to pull the trigger on the Shrimp Boat and the Graveyard at some point. They look great.

Hidden Side is easily the best theme to come out of Lego not directly tied to a Lego movie! Even excluding the fun transformation features, each set just feels like it's the very best Lego has to offer. All of the little extra details included in every model set the line apart from your typical Lego experience.

Jack, Parker, Spencer, Douglas, and J.B. all do pop up repeatedly in the first wave, but they're all great minifigs. A few different facial expressions and outfit variations for these characters helps to minimize the 'Emmett effect' a bit. Every set also includes an assortment of original amazing civilian characters, full of fun new prints and faces. The biker pair in #70421 and Mr. Clark in #70425 are absolute standouts!

Just finished my gingerbread house last night. great build. Now I need to start my winter village train station or winter village fire station. I originally picked up the fire station with the intent of not building it till next year as this year's display will be very limited on space. but I'm not sure I can hold off.....

I agree. They just look placed without thought on the original model. When I built a bigger version, I tried to place them more appropriately and with more volume. Even then, they are lacking a bit

We're on a bit of a railway mission in the Speedy house recently. Little Miss Speedy asked for a layout to be built the other weekend and its still taking up the entire lounge floor. Couple of loops with a goods yard with several sidings.
After raiding #60198 for its powered up running gear to run the WV train, I modified the green cargo train to use the PF gear as theres the space to fit the sensor in unlike on the WV train.
Yesterday the additional logging wagons arrived fro eBay, so we built those last night and with the crane wagon on the rear of the train it looks great.
