I finally got around to buying #75200 at 50% off, and brought it with me on holiday, along with some spare parts. Very happy with the result. While I did not like The Last Jedi overall, I did enjoy many of the Ahch-To scenes, and might even expand this mod further to create a bigger island. It would be nice to have Chewie roasting a porg down by the waterside as well.

Going to spend the evening rebuilding WV train station after I managed to sweep it off the box it was sat on while carrying garden waste through the house (the curse of no side gate to the garden) managed to fire it 6ft across the lounge into lots if pieces. Not sure I've found them all yet either!

Finished #21309 in time for the 50th anniversary of the moon landing as I'd planned, and I'm glad I did.

The scale of the (near)-finished rocket is majestic. The build was a lot easier than other huge LEGO sets I've done, maybe because of 4 identical side panels or 2 similar sets of 2 - could find parts and assemble all at once. The main building challenge was aligning those side panels when attacking them to the center core.

I liked how the stages were securely attached but easily detachable.

IDK why but folks on a certain LEGO Technic FB page are dumping on this set.

^ Not sure why.  It appears faithful enough to the source material, & includes a functioning engine at least.  A quick bricklink check shows if it hasn’t appreciated any, it’s at least holding on offer at MSRP, which is better than some sets do.  Is it that it’s not technic enough somehow?

Maybe they're unfamiliar with "funny cars" over there. There are certain sets they go absolutely bonkers over, however.

Either way, half price for a Technic set is OK by me ;)

Completed except for 7 spoiler parts missing. Prev owner included Power Functions batt box, motor, & headlight elements, so I guess.that's an OK tradeoff ;)

@LittleLori - Thanks for your kind words. I've only seen 1 of the movies but I've read all the books. Maybe it's time to stock up on popcorn and have a movie marathon too.

Not sure I'd bother if i was you. I finally got around to reading the books and overall they were much better than I'd expected, despite my initial cynicism. Watched the films after the books. The first three were ok I thought, but after that the standard dropped right away and I thought overall they were very disappointing.

But you can't have Lego Star Wars troopers without the clone trooper head, it just wouldn't be a proper Star Wars set.
(Plus it was the only fleshie head I had multiples of to hand at the time). :\

Regretting a bit that I didn't get all the sets in this theme, but the 12 I did get already hardly fit on this table, so maybe it's for the best?

Just finished building #21046 Empire State Building, very repetitive build but also very satisfying when complete. Will look good alongside my #21042 Statue of Liberty!



Hope Lego continue with these large Architecture sets as they're great display pieces.

Got a few older Architecture sets a bit ago to try and get closer to completing that series in my collection.  All of them were used, so I built them out to ensure completeness.  Enjoyed all three builds.  I knew Robie House was on the bigger side, but was still kind of shocked by just HOW big the final build ended up being!

Solid little set

saw it at Target and picked it up to go with #75258 (a regular size contemporary model of Anakin's podracer), which in turn I got because #7131 was one of my favorite childhood sets.
Like other polybags, the building experience is simple rather than good or bad.
Like many podracer modles, it's somewhat flimsy having to attach the engines and cab while not looking more solid than the movie craft. Yet the finished product was sitll fairly swooshable.

Will get to 75258 after #31077 which is already open on my building table. As for that:
The main design appealed to me, as LEGO food themed sets often do.

The parts of each minifigure were in different bags, and needing to open them all somewhat defeated the point of bags making it easy to build in stages.

I haven't gotten much further as I'm swapping some pieces around [that's often why I get to a particular set in my backlog]

I've started working on adding Emmet's Dream House / Thricycle to my city layout.  I'd like to preserve the dollhouse aspect and need to adding tiling and vegetation, but its coming together.

I've debated putting this on 16W vs 32W but given the size of the accessories and then the ability to have a driveway for the Thricycle, I think 32W feels right

^ what did you think of building it?  I’ve been tempted to add this one to my city since it’s a nice looking house with a strong vintage town vibe.  It’s also a complete 4 sided building!  

Also, did you do anything to preserve it opening in half?  Or did you just stick it on the baseplate & call it good?  Curious as I look to add these to my city with modulars, because the floors don’t come apart with half opening buildings so you have to either mod them more extensively, or I’m thinking if I pin them down on tiles, the buildings could still then open up in half.  Of course you’d have to leave enough space to do it in the overall city.
