^ & ^^ Thanks, the progress is slow but I'm ok with that. I get to enjoy the build more :)  It's very interesting following the instructions generated by the digital designer. The steps are so random and chaotic but that too is a little enjoyable as it helps extend the build process. Anyway, here is a little update from last night. Didnt have much building time but its looking good.

@mustang69, where did you get the instructions?
  • mustang69mustang69 Member Posts: 544
@Switchfoot55 they were generated from LDD, from the build I made based on the haunted house. It’s not really a 1:1 build of the HH with swapped colors though so I couldnt use those instructions.

No, @BOSSK stole it for his minifigure.

So, still no Slave 1 pictures. But I did manage something over the weekend. Its main attribute and main annoyance of the same thing. An abundance...

    Of all grey

    Very tiny

    Greebling!

It does look very very nice. My son will go nuts tomorrow morning! And then I'll have to go searching for the missing bits...

@Fauch - we'll have to compare notes on the build. Do you have lots of pieces left over? I have a fair few...

I'll have to take note when I finish it. oh yeah, I had some "large" ones left, like a ski, found that weird.

Finished building Buckingham Palace last night. I picked it up used, happy to find it was complete. There were two spares for the microfig used for the statue out front, one in gold and one in sand green - is that normal, or did the prior owner throw in some extras?

^ I'd be surprised to find a spare microfig in sand green when it's not used in the set - that sounds more like it comes from the New York Skyline set, where there was a spare for the Statue of Liberty.

Just finish the modification of 21047.  In order to fit into the IKEA display box, the back of Bellagio needs to rebuild and the Pyramid needs to relocate.  I am trying to minimize the alternations and keep the original design.

As we're hoping to emigrate to NZ sometime soon, and as a lorry driver I'd like to practice manouvering a B Train, my lovely partner bought me two Mack Anthems so I spent last weekend building one and using only the parts from the second one to modify the trailer to take a second fifth wheel. I then decided to modify the steering to twin steer although it would be fair to say on Mack's of this type of use this is not the norm in NZ. You find it more on flat nosers.

The steering is very rudimentary and could be done much more comprehensively but I didn't want to take half the cab apart to get to the workings, that'll come at a later time.

The rest is fairly simple, and I would like to add details such as Air lines etc, and power functions too. I had to strengthen the pin plate on the first trailer (though I think it's a weak point on the original model), and the second pin had to drop another stud so all worked out nicely. I also had to move the wheels out half a stud  on the leading trailer to clear the frame for lift steady.

The one thing I would like to change is the longitudinal sloppiness of the fifth wheels, it's very irritating but haven't come up with solution yet (time issue mostly)

As an aside we also managed to find the chase figure for Wizarding World so pretty chuffed with that too :)

Similar to mine then. It does seem like a lot to me, but maybe that's normal for a nearly 2k set with lots of detail...

apparently you have more than me. 2 dark bley tiles, I dark tan plate, 2 half round light bley tiles and 1 1x2 sand blue tile. you have the same number of light bley cheese slopes and studs, so I guess bricklink is wrong for them.

Building Fantastic Beasts Newt's case (review to come soon) and finishing the Tron set. For those curious, the promo right now (if you spend over 99) gets you double VIP, diagon alley, and the christmas special. This is for the USA, I do not know about other countries. Cheers!

Got lego darthvader 75534 from girlfriend. So that's what I build recently.

Always been secptical about lego buildable figures but this set is amazing. The pieces and plasict feel high quality and it does look great as a stand alone about anywhere in the house. Unfortunatly the other starwars figures dont look halve as good.

I just finished #10263 WV Fire Station and was particularly impressed with how the tall windows in the tower were done. That’s a technique I never would have come up with.

I built #6378 last night which I just acquired off of eBay. Lots of nostalgia in that one for me as it's the first set my grandmother bought me and the first set that I really have any memories for. Fantastic feeling to have it again!

Last year I got a large plastic container filled with loose Lego from my brother, over 80 complete sets including #75060 and #75095. Since I already had the Slave I, I gave the parts to my nephews so they could build (and keep) it. The TIE has been on my build list for sometime but finding all 1685 pieces was a chore so kept putting it off. Have finally got all the pieces together and built it. So huge though, think I would've been better to build the #75101 from the container as easier to find shelf space!

It is however a lot sturdier than I'd thought it would be...

^ Is that modeled on a real building? The off-center vertical sign is an interesting choice.

It's supposed to be designed for a child to easily assemble, as often these sets are built as a family.

As mentioned by the designers in the designer video.

@MaffyD I believe they debuted in the friends hotel set a couple years back. They have since been in Elves. They come in tan and reddish brown also.
