Part 1 of a replica of #4000001 done. I knew I had to start building it after seeing it at the LEGO House. Even if I'm still missing 4 pieces... better get on that Bricklink thing again.
^ Which instructions did you use? I have an issue that the rear yellow door does not close if you put a 1x3 tile on top of the "chimney" (stud input) on the inside... other than that it's fairly ok. Things get stuck easily ;)
Arranged cold pint, daughters Kindle to watch a film, my big sorting tray and finally cut the seals on my signed Old Fishing Store we got from Leicester Square a month ago. An hours building last night and bag 1 is completed. I'm going to incorporate mine into my modular town on the side of the harbour, so the whole build has moved to the edge of the baseplate to allow for the continuation of the rocky outcrops down to the water level without the little strip of sand in front.
Just finished a couple of the older Creator 3-in-1 buildings: #4996 Beach House, #5771 Hillside House, and #6754 Family Home. They are so superior to the newer ones it isn't even funny.
@snowhitie - One of my favourite builds, I'm sure you'll both love it :-)
It will get a lot bigger when the feet and front mandibles are added!
@snowhitie - As it's Bricklink'd, do you know if the rigging pieces are actually LEGO?
If not they could be made of a different type of plastic, and possibly less flexible? I've owned a couple of original Falcons, and the rigging parts required a bit of 'encouragement' to get them attached correctly (e.g. gentle flexing!) but they were fine once they were in the correct position. Perhaps @iso3200 can advise?
Building my dream theme now MF #75192 Lucky enough to have two, keeping one in the box and building the other.
