The search for a new theme

Not sure if people have seen this over at The Brothers Brick but it appears that Lego are after some help with new theme ideas.

Personally I'd love the opportunity to work with Lego to develop a new theme, however, would you expect some kind of reimbursement for coming up with the 'next big thing'?

My understanding is if your theme is chosen, you'd work with Lego on a "for hire" basis?

Unless you also moonlight and design megabloks sets too.

Is this for real? I saw the annonouncement but find it confusing that TLG would ask for design ideas. Isn't that what they pay their designers to do?
It would be great it it was a prank on 'Kim' (the email address) as he/she wades through hundreds of 'bring back monorail' emails...

Now where's that thread for the Ninjago Monorail idea...
