I'm pleased to be able to reveal that I've been assisting LEGO with the implementation of a 'My LEGO Timeline' app on Facebook.
The app is now in Beta. It can be accessed from the LEGO Facebook page,
http://www.facebook.com/LEGOGROUP, although it's not obvious how to find it. You have to scroll down a bit until the LEGO/Timeline/Now menu appears at the top. There's a link 'My LEGO Timeline' under timeline. I'm not sure how you get to it before that menu appears: if you know, PLMK!
The direct URL is
http://www.facebook.com/LEGOGROUP#!/LEGOGROUP/app_290335034365496.
Anyway, the idea is that you pick sets that you've built, say when you did so, and they appear on a timeline. I'm not sure it'll be entirely useful to us hardcore AFOLs, but for the casual user, i.e. most of the 2 million who've liked the LEGO page, I guess it could be fun.
At the moment it seems LEGO just want to 'see who finds it' so aren't announcing it on their page yet. I'm doing so here because, well, someone's got to give it a go and test it, right?
