    That one I see @datsunrobbie!

I've pretty much decided that I am going for the 3-piece bracket method for display stands. I'm going to order the parts from PAB for overall ease of bulk-buying (I'm going to buy enough for 80 stands, which would be two full plates at max, but I know I won't use up that many right now since there will be a couple big figs in there.
Due to current lead times from PAB, I don't have anything to show for probably 6-8 weeks.

    The penguin is standing on a 6015344: Brick 1x2 w. 2 knobs

Ahh! Makes sense! I guess that's another way to do this whole thing. A 1x2 brick and a 1x2 brick with knobs would give plenty of space for backpacks and big hats. Although maybe that would be a poor long-term option because the weight of the minifig would be pushing laterally on 2 joints?
The ones in that picture have been hanging on the wall for about a year with no issues, I have some others that have been up longer. I did find a few 1x2 bricks with poor clutch power while setting up the display, and discarded those in favor of better-fitting bricks. Most backpacks and hats fit with a single 1x2, but some like SHO19A require a second brick for clearance.

I've been searching around the forum and I saw that some folks have tried to use the IKEA Sannahed frame for minifigure displays. On the US website, that frame says it has a picture size of 9-3/4" square. 9-3/4" ~ 24.8cm so I'm assuming the frame ID is actually a true 25x25cm. A baseplate however is more like 25.6cm sq. So I'm wondering if anybody has had luck with maybe cutting down knock-off brand baseplates to fit these - or any other solutions anybody has come up with.

I'm still leaning more towards using 3M command strips on the plate-thickness knock off baseplates without any sort of a frame, but I'm considering framed options too.
