Nice... Several sets that I was waiting on are now low enough to buy...

    #9499 - Gungan Sub
    #9498 - Saesee Tiin's Jedi Starfighter
    #9496 - Desert Skiff
    #9497 - Striker Starfighter

    Sweet! :)

As a side note, Jabba's Palace and the Malevolence are both $96 as well, I already bougth them before at $100, but this is a heck of a price, if you don't have either, $96 will be hard to beat for awhile I think.

    Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, I jumped on the Palace for that price. I figure Malevolence will drop lower like the Republic Freighter has... just have to wait it out!

Thanks for the heads up...I grabbed a few sets I did not have including the Palace. I, too, will wait out the Malevolence.

    Anyone know why?
Shipping Advisory: This item must be shipped separately from other items in your order. Additional shipping charges will not apply.
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
They say that on a lot of items, I find it is not true most of the time.

What item are you looking at?
  • LegobrandonCPLegobrandonCP Member Posts: 1,917
The train station. I'm asking because the place I'm shipping to charges by a per-package basis ($3.50 ea). I don't want Amazon to ship in two separate boxes since that would mean I have to pay double the price. lol ;-)
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
You mean the one they have on sale for like $31? No, they won't ship two of those seperate, or they shouldn't.

I've bought that from Amazon before when I thought it was going out of stock a few months ago, picked up 5 of them, they all came together.

Now that I've said that, I'm sure they will change it, just to make me look foolish. :)
  • LegobrandonCPLegobrandonCP Member Posts: 1,917
^ Well maybe because you had 5 of the same item. I'm ordering the station along with the revised book and some HDMI cables.

And don't you hate it when people change things after you said something? ;-)

Ugh, too many sales. Such a shame to have to pass on several of these.

Ahh, those may ship seperately then... Consider that Amazon has warehouses from one side of this country to the other, and do not stock everything in every warehouse. Some warehouses are media only, others are non-media standard size items, others are non-media oversized items, etc.

If they have everything in one place, sure they'll ship it out in one shipment, but they can't do it if one item is in KS and the other two items are in PA.

$3.50 a box? That sounds expensive!
  • LegobrandonCPLegobrandonCP Member Posts: 1,917
Too late. Station is now backordered until October 13. Gonna delay the order until tomorrow to see what other sales pop up. Who knew watching the prices on Amazon would be so much fun and exhilarating at the same time?

$3.50 is expensive, but keep in mind I'm saving a whole lot of money buying at US MSRP. This company is specialized in receiving packages from Canadian customers. :)
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
^ Couldn't you just get a box at a UPS Store right across the border, minor cost, they'll receive all the packages you want for a small yearly charge.

who do you use brandon? I found one in Port Huron and they charge $5/box

I guess. But I don't shop online too often so I would leave the box to waste, plus, crossing the main border is a huge pain in the butt. I go to Point Roberts, WA. A little tip of land that should of have been given to Canada, but the US took it. :P

Border line ups there are under 5 mins whereas the main border is usually 45 mins+, and it is much further away from my house. And of course, we get our car filled up with gas while were there (we go to Pt. Roberts once a week for gas).

See how desperate Canadians are for cheap items in the US? LOL

I live in BC. I use Point2Point Parcel down by Pt. Roberts near Tsawwassen, BC. Great service. :)

@Sonic_Raptor......Thank you so much for posting this sale. I picked up a Jabba's Palace and MF. I really appreciate when people post the sales.

NP. I keep a bunch in my "Wish List" to monitor the price.

I'm also keeping an eye on the Death Star on Walmart's website. Over the weekend it dipped to $289, but they sold out in a flash. This morning it reads $318, which is still a great deal, but they are still out of stock.

The MF is the lowest price ever on Amazon. I think it will do well once retired simply because it is a MF. Having said that I went for some train stations instead. Glad I did, they are out of them now, but still have the MF. Just too good of a deal on the stations to pass up. I tell ya, some of this stuff doesn't last long. It gets gobbled right up. You see a price posted on this forum and next thing it is a feeding frenzy! :-) I can say that since I'm one of the sharks. :-) Buy, Buy, Buy!

I guess Target had them on sale to close them out? I think so, so I'm thinking the set will be EOL'd somewhat soon. An even better reason to buy now. I think the MF will be around a bit longer. (course who knows?)

I picked up a train station at 31 and change last night. Decided that my town really needed two uniform stations and a reliable taxi service :)

Most of them are matching Target prices, Target could be cheaper if you are using the 5% off w/ red card and the $10/$5 off. I got my #9498 for $20.75 (along with a $27.98 #7937 train station)

Edit: You can get the MF for as low as $87.02 on Target.com with the red card, or 91.77 if not a AAA member)

Do you think the TIE Fighter is a good deal at $35?

I jumped on the MF, and already have the new X-Wing and Y-Wing, so the TIE would probably fit well among them.

I already have one of the old $20 blue TIE fighters....but it's kind of flimsy.

What do you think? Would you get it?
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
The new TIE Fighter is done right, totally worth it.

We bought two of them, so they could fly in formation next to Vader's TIE. :)

Very nice set, they finally did the TIE right!

Well... except for that the wings are way too thick relative to their height and widith (and to the cockpit). Frankly, I think it looks a little ridiculous, but it's still exponentially better than the original, especially in terms of color and stability.

Have to agree. Looks way better than the last one. Would not buy for resale, but the current price is great. I bought 4 thinking it would be cool to build a base with a few TIE's sitting around.
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
^ The current TIE is a system lvl set, like the current Falcon, it isn't meant to be perfect, it is a kids toy! :)

It is miles and miles better than any TIE Lego has done, other than Vader's UCS TIE Advanced, but that is really another ballpark. :)

I wouldn't buy the current TIE for resale either, there is a 50/50 chance it will be around for 5+ years like the last X-Wing was. Why would Lego get rid of it any time soon?

Same price at target, if you have sales tax on amazon, then target is a better deal. $5 off through retailmenot, 2.5% through ebates, and 5% if you have a redcard.
