On the plus side, I can now seriously consider selling my Town Plan :).
Thanks
Although it would be humorous if it looked just like the Town Plan one but bigger...
Honestly I have no idea why people would want to get rid of their 10184 Town plan for this but I guess to each their own.
10184 Town Plan was meant as a smaller town piece, not a town that would most likely have a cinema in a bigger building.. Not to mention that LEGO still has not come up with another gas station set (Yes Yes I know the new Parking garage has pumps but I do not consider that a Gas station)
Also, I have read a few comments from people on here, hat will not buy the Modular because they think it will mess with their town set up.
February. Perhaps we will see some cinema images then?
@Pitfall69: I'm not implying the company would be insensitive if it went ahead and produced a theater or is even remotely profiting from the tragedy. But TLG has demonstrated they are aware of controversial subjects and generally avoid them. I was suggesting that delaying the introduction of the set (and maybe rushing to produce a different one for 2013) would be a plausible thing for them to do.
Maybe 2013 is far enough out that it is no longer fresh on people's minds, but imagine if it came out this year. It doesn't take much for children to bring in some minifigures from other themes that happen to be armed or mix in their Joker minifig. All of a sudden a very strong image is evoked.
By the way, a mass murder that made national (and I'm guessing global) news is not the same as a fire with casualties.
Thankfully...
