Just Curious, How often do you buy a lego set?

So how often do you buy a lego set? And when i mean "buy" i mean one you actually open and build and keep, for at least more than 6 months, cuz i know people who re-sells can buy a crazy amount.
I normally buy small medium($5-50) sets once a week, with a really big set($70-200) twice or once a month.

On average probably a small set ($AUD20-80) once a fortnight and a big set (>$AUD100) every two months, but it really is in fits and spurts. Within the last 4 weeks I bought MMV, GE, Haunted House and WV Cottage, Bakery and Post Office to go with my Toy shop. As well as a couple of little sits. Prior to that my last purchase was TH in May...so it all depends on how much of a Lego fix I need :)

2 Large sets a month(I build on keep one boxed), then 2-4 small sets for collection or parts. My misses said the other day, that when we have children, we wouldn't have to buy any toys...She got the look.

I budget a certain amount each month for LEGO purchases, and I usually spend it all the first week of the month...so once/month for me!

If this includes used sets I spent, depending on what I find, some €50,00 - € 200,00 maximum each month. If there aren't any nice deals I keep my money in my pocket. I don't buy many new sets, most of the time I wait until I can buy them second hand. My list of sets I want is almost complete, some very rare Castle sets are left. So my sales pattern wil be lower in the near future (I hope....).

for the past year it has gone from never in many years to one a month to almost daily to somewhere around weekly or more depending on the season/sales.

For me, it depends largely on discounts/sales on the sets that I've decided I want. During periods of significant discounting, I buy a lot. If no discounts are to be found, I buy pretty much nothing because I know that almost all sets will be on sale at some point (just have to be patient).

    story of my life
first it was only superhero sets with cool minifigs, then i decide to only buy all the superhero sets, then i saw the modular buildings and said ok only superhero and modular buildings and it keeps going from there on

Three to ten sets a month, but mostly depends on what sets have been released since we've been to the Lego store and also what bills are due that month. We also often spend on used Lego, most usually bulk from CL.

Since I got promoted in April, I'm probably buying at least one Lego set a month. I think July was the only exception, unless you count that I bought a set from a Brickset member that arrived in the mail in August. Lately, I've been buying in pairs. For example, in August, I bought Witch Doctor and Alien Mothership on sale at Wal-Mart. Then last month, I bought Anakin's Jedi Interceptor and the Sith Infiltrator at Target during a 5% off "sale". Small potatoes, but I am at least glad to say I had time to open up and build the Jedi Interceptor.

I expect this month, being my birthday month and all, might see some room for excess.

Used to be once every 3-4 months -- basically modulars, christmas sets, and large city sets. Now at least once a month -- less city stuff (forest, fire and police not all that appealing to me) but added Star Wars so that's a whole new dimension of fun (and pain for my wallet).
