Help a momma out! :)
Ok so my son wants to sell some old legos. Alien conquest earth defense HQ, jet copter, and tripod invader. They are already built. I have all of the books. And most of the mini figs, if not all of them. Someone on craigslist offered $65 for all of it (if all of the mini figs are there) Is this a reasonable price? If not how and where can i sell these to get the best price?
Thanks so much!

You also need to say how much work you want to put into selling them (checking them, writing descriptions, taking photos) and what the condition is like.

Those three sets are $130 new. So for second hand used, I'd take the $65 with no extra work.

^Or put in a bit of work and get more than just half the cost they're offering you. If they're in good condition and complete, you should get more than that.

^ You might, but not from me...

I think $65 is very fair for those three sets used if they are complete.

You'll get perhaps more on ebay, but not after fees, shipping, etc.

I think the defense HQ was half price during the May the Fourth promotion in the US and the others have been discounted too. I'd deal for $65 in cash - no shipping, no paypal, no ebay fees, no worry about reversals or refunds.

Ok, I guess I'll make that deal! Thanks so much guys!

Yes, it was, I picked up several more of them, they won't get expensive for awhile.

The "no refunds or returns" is nice as well, cash in hand is always worth more than PayPal because of that.

You're very welcome, hope we are helpful. :)

Just please be safe on Craigslist, plenty of good people use it, plenty of people sell and buy honestly there, but criminals do exist, so don't invite them to your home, meet them in the parking lot of McDonalds or some place busy with lots of people.

As a side note, for really expensive Lego, I always do the deal inside the lobby of my bank. You'd have to be pretty stupid to try and rob someone in the lobby of a bank, and after they give me cash, I deposit it so I never walk out with it.

Oh... I guess I'm not hip enough to get it... I must be old... now get off my lawn! :)

@LegoFanTexas - wow, I never considered doing a transaction within a bank lobby. Do you get strange looks hauling in a fully built LEGO Eiffel Tower, or a big unmarked brown box, and then just waiting around?

    (also: very smart!)

:) My bank knows me, since I have multiple business accounts there as well as my personal accounts, the bank manager knows me. She also knows what I do for a living, so no, I don't get strange looks.
