Thought I should actually get around to introducing myself since I just realized I never bothered :)

I'm 20 years old, Canadian, and just six months out of my dark ages. Fortunately I have kept my childhood LEGO sets, but there was a good 7-8 year gap during which I stopped collecting. I don't buy sets based on theme, I buy based on the sets I like the most due to a limited budget, though I have a particular fondness for Star Wars, Harry Potter, and the new POTC sets. I don't buy to re-sell or to store away mint sets (multiples or otherwise), I buy solely to build.

I was pleased to find this community because few of my adult friends and family appreciate my LEGO collection. In fact, some of them undoubtedly think that I am quite foolish to spend my money on 'children's toys'. I have a complex method for deciding what sets to buy and when and I obsessively keep my spreadsheet up to date and colour coded. Like many of you, I have some trouble controlling my spending, but I use my spreadsheet to show me how much I have bought each month and so far during the year to guilt myself into exercising restraint.

The only other interesting things about me are that I am currently attending university and training in kung fu.
