10219 Maersk Train Light Modification (looking for ideas)

I recently acquired the PF parts to motorize the Maersk train and was wondering if anyone had good ideas on ways to integrate the Lego PF Light part? Looks a bit complicated, but if anyone has been able to do it I would love to hear or see examples.

Thanks

I've posted pictures of my modification on the engine to include a light. I'm still not satisfied with the front as I had to take off the plate with white and black cheese bricks. Sorry if it seemed like I wanted an answer without doing anything myself. Feel free to check out the pictures below or on flickr.

I thought about what you said you wanted to do and the solution you posted. Maybe the attached idea would bring you closer to a solution you like? I widened the front piece you removed to 4 wide to accommodate the light.

Very nice brickmatic, I was actually thinking about putting two lights in the front to make it a bit brigther.

What I did was raise the roof 3 studs, and placed a brick that you could place the lights up and down. So i came out with this

I know this is an old thread but a quick search bought this up on the subject of Maersk loco lights. I have just fitted lights to my Maersk train, bodged the lower lights instead of the top ones, think I'll do both now having seen some great suggestions for the top lights. Getting to the point though, I have tried many different things including running the wires under the train etc but not happy with the wire overhang that I currently have, any ideas on how to tidy it up at all? Thanks in advance.image

Such a good looking train...especially the first picture.

Good question. I think using the Lego LED it might be hard to build housing around the front. You could changing the bogie so it doesn't come out as much and put the lights down there but no easy solution without a significant design change.
