I can't find this on the set lists to add to my collection. These were official Lego products, correct? Any reason these (as well as some pens) aren't listed?

A lot of promotional items never got properly accounted for, so it's entirely possible that they just aren't known. If you have information that proves their legitimacy, please provide as much information as you can!

I believe the ZipBin products, although 'LEGO' branded, are in fact 3rd party items. ZipBin simply have a license from LEGO to use the 'LEGO' brand on their products, so they fall outside the scope of Brickset. It's the same deal as with the recent radio/flash light/mp3 player/alarm clock/camera/blah items, which you won't find in the Database either.

Historically, we had been a bit inconsistent with what had gone in & what had been excluded from the Database; we (the Brickset staff) had a bit of a discussion a few months back about what the scope should be, and then had a massive purge & tidy up, getting rid of a whole load of old categories at the same time.

ok - thanks for clarifying. The perfectionist side of me wants every little Lego piece accounted for on here (after all, I love the reviews and the checklist function)
I guess I was confused as I purchased the ZipBin from Lego.com

Can't remember who (probably @bluemoose actually), but someone once said that this is the 'brickset' database i.e. sets of, or containing bricks. Perhaps there should be a tatset database too? ;-)

^ Yes, quite right. There's an FAQ entry about this to which I've just added a link to the news article that covered the reorg.
