Hi,
why does the LOTR-Troll and SW-Jabba count as a minifig, but the SW-Wampa or SW-TaunTaun not?
I thought those were minifigs, too.
Best,
Ronald.

Brickset doesn't database minifigs, only Bricklink. Are you talking about the @Huw 's minifig galleries?

The TaunTaun is, in my opinion, just a horse that smells especially bad on the inside.

I think one could make both arguments over the Wampa.

My initial thoughts are that we are drawing the cutoff at sentience but it would appear that a lot of Space robots have been historically included. And who's to say that the Wampa didn't have a family, wants, hopes, dreams.

    ;o)

Yes, that's what I meant. Sorry...

I guess the answer is the same: BrickLink doesn't consider the TaunTaun to be a minifig, any more than a horse or pig is, so therefore we don't.

There are some exceptions, the Toy Story characters for example, which BL says aren't minifigs but I consider them to be, and brick-built robots, which BL says are minifigs but I don't agree :-)
