Bricklinking the Imperial Shuttle

I'm thinking of buying UCS IS, would it be cheaper just to Bricklink it or just to buy the whole thing?

    Pretty sure in another thread someone posted that an IS was worth like $450 parted out at average BL prices.

    Ah, so It's cheaper to buy it all together, I saw one BL for £150

    I think you'd struggle to find an in production Lego model that's cheaper to BL than to buy direct. Even if you could find the pieces in total cheaper you have I factor in p&p and time and effort. If you want a cheap IS I'd wait until you get some EOL discounts

    ^ The architecture series are some of the only ones I can think of where they "can" be cheaper to BL - albeit some of the new ones have some unusual pieces (the 3x3 concave roof tiles on Robie house, trans clear tiles in falling water, mouldy sand green cheeses etc).

    I bricklinked a Guggenheim (ex the title tiles) for under a tenner, it's displayed on my desk.
