    Although not an Aussie, I traveled with a group of Australians a couple years ago when I was in Egypt, and I kid you not, EVERY merchant or vendor who discovered that one of them was was from Australia would then proceed to say, "Oh, yes, I know Aussie... Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi oi oi!" Got rather tiresome by the end of the trip!
