Thanks...

You weren't the guy with the eBay auction for all these sets, were you?

    This listing:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Entire-Lego-Modular-Buildings-Collection-Cafe-Corner-Market-Street-All-7-1-/180923383454

If so, we already discussed that one. :)

If not, let me suggest that you need to knock $800 off your asking price, then you'll get takers.

FB, GE, PS, and TH can all be purchased brand new.

CC costs about $700 used, MS is about $600, GG is about $450.

So $2,400 plus shipping buys all of these, with 4 of them being brand new.

    At $2,000, I think you'd get interest.

The irony is that you probably could sell this for $3K on eBay, but most buyers here are looking for a deal.

:) No harm in trying to get the most possible for your sets, we all do the same thing most of the time.

I was trying to suggest a fair price for this forum, but also to suggest that if you want more, eBay would be a better place to sell than here.

Another idea is to offer the 3 retired sets as a combo, and keep the new sets for the day they retire, then sell them.

Right now, those sets can be purchased for $650 brand new, so $500 used is probably the very most anyone would pay for them. You'd come out way ahead if you can box them up and put them in the closet for a few years, take them out and you'll probably get $2,000 just for those 4 at that point in time.

Let's all remember that this is a Marketplace thread and, as such, 3rd party commentary should be kept to a minimum and pricing editorials should be kept to yourself.

Sorry about that, I was just trying to be helpful to point him to eBay, and to point out why he might not be getting offers...

Please edit or delete my prior posts then, I'll keep it in mind in the future.
