How to manage Sales Transactions in the Forum Marketplace

When someone here puts something up in the Marketplace for people to buy rather than trade, what is the usual method of payment? Credit card# (sounds dangerous)? Pay-pal? If it is only best for one to trade I would completely understand. I just need help from a few Pros.

PayPal is the most common way to pay for an item on here. Also, a lot of the transactions that occur here are also based upon trust in the other.

There's a Marketplace feedback forum you can check if you'd like to see the feedback people have posted for others in completed transactions as well.

Having been a member for a while now, quite a few of us are familiar with each each others habits and behavior. Many of us meet and socialise regularly. I speak for the members I hang with although I am sure there are other groups.

Those I do know and am comfortable with, we are happy to buy and send on trust. I'm owed a few hundred at the moment but I know I will get it. Those that I'm not familiar with, I'd generally send money by Paypal (to add a little security) or offer to meet and trade face to face. Meeting at Lego events local to both parties is a favourite.

*cough* who would that be James? ;-)

For those people you don't know, PayPal all the way, for those you know well, bank transfer or cash in person.
