Checking for interest in 21101 Hayabusa (US)

Is anyone interested in trading for this set? I'm currently in Japan and might bring a few home to trade/sell. My interest is mainly in City and Creator sets. LMK.

Possibly. It'll be available at [email protected] in a couple of weeks. US$49 here. Is it much cheaper than that over there? Is the Shinkai still available?

What I would be interested in, if you can find it, is a CMF from one of those vending machines. I don't really care which one (the older the series the better I guess) - I'm just interested in collecting one with the sealed, vending machine packaging they have.

Since this will be available from [email protected] in all countries later this year I'll probably just wait and buy it then.

If however you can still get hold of #21100, then yes I'd be interested.

Oh, I didn't know 21101 would eventually be available via [email protected] That sort of kills my plan to make it worth my while to haul them back from Japan. They're ¥4500, which is ~$50, so no sweet deal here. Blah.

Limited quantities though, no idea what number 'limited' means in this case.

Put me down as another that is interested in the Shinkai. If you are able to buy some copies of #21100, I would be very interested in buying/trading one from you.

^ I'd be interested in a 21100 as well depending on how much you find them for.

Not CMF's, but you get the idea.

^ Thanks. Yeah, the random capsule form is what I was talking about - not the opened ones. IIRC, the CMFs come in a different packaging, almost polybag like I think, than the ones here in the states.

I would also like a Shinkai, please. Amazon.jp is expensive.

I've not seen any Shinkai yet. I've been to two different toy stores and the new Legoland Discovery.

@sidersdd.. I did see CMF vending machines, but didn't look too closely. I'll take a closer look to verify unique packaging. IIRC, the one machine was only ¥200, which is a decent price for a CMF.

I saw the unique packaging for the CMFs in vending machines. It appears that each has the specific figure printed on the outside, along with some text in Japanese. I can see how this might be desireable to collectors. I'll buy a few.

Cool, thanks. What series of figs have you seen? Do you pick the figs you want or are they blind draws?
  • LegobrandonCPLegobrandonCP Member Posts: 1,917
^ The vending machines spit out whatever they want. It is all blind. Or at least the ones I've used are...
  • mikersoftmikersoft Member Posts: 57
^ yep, it's a blind draw.. I've only seen series 6 thus far
  • mikersoftmikersoft Member Posts: 57
Well, I screwed up..when I verifed the unique Japan series 6 packaging, I was in Yokohama for the day.. I figured I would wait & buy them at the Tokyo toy store we saw them at earlier in the week.. I just went there and they're all gone :-(

I did find some series 3 in a vending machine near my hotel, but they have the standard generic packaging. Since I didn't have any series 3, I bought a few. I got a pilot, gorilla, & hula dancer. I'll keep my eyes peeled for more CMFs with Japan packaging, but time is running out as I'm heading to the airport in a couple hours.

@mikersoft is there any 21100-1 on sale?
  • jadedancjadedanc Member Posts: 1,302
    I would be interested in one each of #21100 & #21101 :)
  • mikersoftmikersoft Member Posts: 57
I'm back home.. I didn't see any 21100-1.. I'm guessing they're long gone at most retailers. Even the shops at Legoland Discovery did not have them.

^Thanks for checking. It's much appreciated, even if you came up empty.
