... because they were probably spray painted with chrome spray paint...

^ The sloped bricks were much more textured back then, so the standard chroming process would have left them looking very "spray painted" as the chrome finish would highlight the texture even more than usual.

Sorry it isn't an actual LEGO item.  The clown is what caught my eye. It looks like Pennywise has found new employment!

    Not LEGO, nor a hoodie.

    Just weird and unsettling...

Priced to fit the Secret Santa budget though!

I would set it on fire.  Except that the fumes would be toxic.

I suppose it's a Roblox sweater? They use figures which look a lot (but not quite) like minifigures...

I wonder if these were the first chromed LEGO elements?  Not sure at the moment... I know that 2x4 gray bricks were chromed for all the 1998 USA Silver Anniversary Sets...

    https://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?q=Silver+anniversary&catType=S&catID=&itemYear=

I know there are other chromed LEGO parts, some likely earlier.

That cracks me up... 1998 being used as the USA beginning date for LEGO...  (1973 was the year TLG got the LEGO license back from USA Samsonite via litigation).  The Canadian anniversary date is 1962... Samsonite of Canada years (1962-88) count towards their anniversary, but the 1961-72 USA Samsonite years do not.

^ I give up, anyone figure out what it is?
I’m almost certain that’s a half chewed Pig Ear treat that some folk give their dogs. I don’t have a dog but my friends dogs love them and they look exactly like Exhibit A in the auction image when half chewed!

Seller’s description: “may include alternate hair”.  I’m more worried about the legs.

Superdrag, maybe - let's not throw around terms that can be... awkward to use without being disrespectful, please. I am not implying any intent, by the way.

OP here. I just figured his tights were in the wash. Not to mention he's wearing his cape all wrong, and the photo is absurdly blurry.

I often see capes put on like that in used lots. I'm not sure why, as the instructions show how to assemble the figures. But some people still insist on sticking an arm through each hole.

That's how the capes went on the original Star Wars action figures. Maybe some people just think that's how capes should go on all action figures!

It's more of a sleeveless duster than a cape.  I'm not sure if that violates the Edna Mode Edict.

To be fair, it is just 1500+ of his minifigure listings are $100.00.

I truly believe I also have $150,000.00 in minifigures.  Don't we all?!?

This is genius! Who knew that if you just mixed up the body parts and hairpiece you could have an automatic one of a kind minifigure?  (Plus I love that they renamed her Macey)…

Not really one of a kind- anyone with the right parts could make one. Or several. I wonder if the seller will really accept "best offer"? I offer... Five bucks. And I want free shipping.

I didn't even notice the $45.00 shipping.  I can do without the solid titanium packing envelope...

Which is worse, the false claim of “100% Lego” or the absolutely ridiculous price?

To be fair if an entire Wampa was in there that’s $20 or so on its own, but I don’t see much else of value!

One should not sell on eBay under the influence.

The BIN wouldn't show if a bid had been placed.

I admit I don't eBay, except for a few BIN purchases when eBay used to do the 10 or 15% off coupons. Is the "starting bid" not someone's bid? Is that just what the seller will accept as the opening bid? If so... thank goodness. My faith in humanity is 1mm higher than it was before!

Yes, that's right. It would normally say 1 bid if there was a bid and the BIN disappears, as it would not be fair to allow a purchase once their are bids.
