^ Paying $1500 for a figure that can be easily purchased for a fraction of that price IS stupid. Their value of what they are buying has nothing to do with it.

I made the comment because 2012 NY Toy Fair minifigures sold on EBay for $761, but people were bidding on them and sometimes people get so caught up in bidding the item becomes over inflated. You can't blame the seller because he didn't list the item for that insane price. I don't even know what those figures are valued at? @samiam391 would though.

^I don't think ignorant is the best word either, perhaps 'foolish' is more fitting? Or perhaps 'crazy' even. Rich people can be both of those, but usually not ignorant or stupid.

Everyone values items differently. Hypothetical:
I may value the TF figures at $500, they may sell for $700.. but some person who really, really wants them may pay $1000 for them. Just so they know they can get them, and not miss them.

Do I think they are crazy, foolish, ignorant, stupid? Sure do.. but they don't, because they got their item. It's all in how you view it, and what position you are in it all. It varies all over! :-)

I was using ignorant because I see a lot of Storage Wars and Pawn Stars and sometimes people don't know what they have and sometimes people think something has value and they are sadly mistaken.

Well those 2 minifigs have both sold 4 times in the last 6 months on BL with the prices between 300-400 apiece with only 2 available each for sale right now with the lowest price at $600 apiece. So it's definitely not worth it to me (or a lot of people) but it wasn't out of line for what people are currently paying.

Yes most definitely rivets (pop rivets). I forget sometimes that we all have different backgrounds and not everyone on this forum may know what they are or what they are used for. Very clever of the seller I suppose.

I knew I recognised that photo. It's one of the pictures from the guy who set the world record for displayed Lego sets. If you put your mouse on the picture and zoom in you can see the US marines water mark in the bottom left corner. Unless he's moved from Az. to Nc. that photo doesn't even belong to him.

If you scroll through the feedback, some people returned their items, yet left positive feedback. If I had to return an item, I would leave neutral feedback because of having to take time to send item back. He probably should have a lower rating than 92%.

High shipping price so eBay's selling eBay fees can be circumvented. And as eBay states it: it's against eBay rules to provide unclear or misleading shipping information or to charge unreasonable fees for shipping and related services.
Strange to see people are actually bidding on this item. This should be reported.

^I'm immediately suspicious of any seller that has private feedback - I know they aren't all scam artists. Some people just don't want you to know that they've just bought the item you are buying from them for 50% of the price, but in cases like this, with a "new" seller, I would avoid at all costs.

If people want to keep their purchases private, they should just set up an alternative account, and leave their selling feedback public.
