Buy an incomplete set, get a box and the missing parts, build it once for fun and sell with profit a 100% complete boxed set. Some of the prices i see for complete boxed sets are insane, so if in luck you can chip some hundreds on it. So yeah i think someone is without doubt willing to pay this.

This is true. My son learned this lesson when he thought he was going to trade for a Lego Deadpool. Only to find out the Lego Deadpool was just about the worst knock-off he'd ever seen.

He didn't trade his extra Star-Lord for it...

Any experts in 1950s lego? These bricks don't look like lego to me - and not the contents of the box pictured. The box could be genuine, but I notice that it's not actually included in the auction.....

They do to me. Why not? They're early slotted bricks, without logos, made of cellulose acetate which is why some have warped.

I am not an expert, but Mursten had 2 box designs, the top one for all smaller boxes, and the lower one for all bigger boxes ('53-'55 that is)

700/6 contains originally 46 pieces, this is a total of 48 pieces, since he includes 2 sets of doors/windows which actually were one piece expansions it seems valid and complete to me.

Usually those sorts of junk lots at least have 'good' stuff strewn about on the top of the trash pile to make it more enticing. At least that guy is honest about how lousy it is even if his price is absurd.

Someone's auto-correct really hates them.

Although in a perverse bout of drunken deductive reasoning, I suppose 'banana' scent could be construed as not so different than a 'monkey fart'.

Unless the monkey likes plantains.

There is a phenomenon in certain families where eating copious amounts of macaroni and sauce can result in 'Italian Pasta Farts'.

Why not? How many have you seen in the shops? Do you know of even a single retailer that stocks them? We've running out of shopping days before Christmas for those "must have" items, and this thing's obviously already hard to find.
