Neat key chain but, pretty pricey considering you can buy the one he's selling on BL for $30 less and he is the most expensive by far on BL.

I didn't mean to start a discussion, I was just saying that Craigslist is messed up at times and I wouldn't go the people's homes or have them come to mine. I would meet them at the parking lot of the nearest Police Department if I had to. A fellow Bricksetter dropped off an Imperial Flagship to our place of business one time. He had a Craigslist ad that I respond to. Perfectly straight up guy, but I was still leary and took precautions.

The best Craigslist purchases I ever made involved me going into a very shady neighborhood, to what looked like a crack house (living room covered in Insane Clown Posse posters), at night. I stayed on the phone with my wife the whole time and made sure my truck was loaded before I handed over the cash. I was really nervous but scored about $2,000 in Lego for $300. Would I do it again?....I am not sure.

I recently saw on the news that police stations are actively encouraging people to conduct their Ebay/CL transactions in the police parking lot or even in the police station itself. A pretty good idea I think.

I once almost got arrested in a bank in Berlin for taking photos. They had a newly released Porsche Cayman in the lobby and I was taking pics of that. They checked my phone, saw they were only car pics, wagged their fingers a little and sent me on my way.

Honestly, I wouldn't go to anyone's house, no matter where it is. If they wanted, I can certainly take a video or pictures of me playing it(I had pictures of the product only online), or even bring a small TV or computer of some sort and hook it up in the parking lot. I even offered this and they balked. With all of the horror stories of people being robbed, kidnapped, or killed from Craigslist, better to be safe than sorry.

As someone originally from a large city in North America, I've always conducted CL deals in public - meeting in coffee shops, parking lots, etc and always NOT alone - with a friend or two (aside from when selling something big, like furniture). Most people seem fine with it. But here in the UK, it seems to be the done thing for someone on Gumtree to pick up directly or "can deliver for a charge". Maybe it's just that in the city I live in, not so many people have cars? Anyway, people seem a bit weary at my suggestions to meet in public. I've only done one public meet in the UK, for an XBOX, and that was because I honestly had no clue how to get to the person's flat.
