Apparently lego's largest market so here are some tips in case any of you ever come over

lego stores are most expensive place to buy, but only place that stocks full range

mytoys.de - dirt cheap toy story, good discounts on some other sets

real (like tesco) - duplo cars sets being sold at a 25% discount

toom - selling off farm and farm superpack for 40 euro, amongst other superpacks

TRU - since sale ended special offers now back to full price (8404 was 70 euro, now 100 again)

worth googling specific sets on google.de, smaller online retailers have some older sets still at reasonable prices - marila.de had coastguard super pack 66290 for €125 shipped last week

as Euro is strong its cheaper to buy on S&H UK and US than it is on the local one (death star =€420 here, €295 UK, €255 USA)

Looks Good, but have a feeling that they won't ship to me in Australia...

Damn, the prices are good, or is it that our prices are high, 8070 is listed as EU99, (AU$135) where as the RRP over in Australia is AU$200...

I'm passing through Germany on my way home from Prague this Summer, as it's a lot cheaper there than in Norway(the most expensive LEGO country in the world), and I'm planning on doing most of my LEGO shopping for the year there. I'm passing by Berlin, and was thinking of going to the LEGO store there, I need Diagon Alley, which I expect I can only find there. Are there other stores you'd rather go to? I could always buy Diagon Alley at the LEGO store and do the rest somewhere else.

I'm glad you started this thread, I was going to start one asking the questions you've already given me answers to. Thanks.

if you're driving all the way home, there is also one in hamburg. i was at my local one today and they had quite a few diagon alleys. lego store is quite cool but you can shave a few euros off buying at various other chains.

dont tend to to the DDR that often but there are a few other chains like woolworth, marktkauf, spielemax and globus that you might want to check out.

mytoys.de has an outlet store in berlin - Neukölln Arcaden, Karl-Marx-Straße 66,12043, Berlin - no idea if its any good tho.

Thanks for the shops listed above.
TRU sometimes has 20% off LEGO, as SpieleMax has, too. Try shopping then, the offer should come a month before christmas.
