Contest at The Brick Blogger: Exclusive Ironman & Captain America!

While I was suffering from withdrawal symptoms from not being able to shop at BrickLink this past week (due to the hacking issue) I had time to put together this fun little contest. All of you are welcome to enter! Huw and Brickset admins, you are welcome to enter too!...(c;

The contest for the highly coveted, super rare, (and outrageously expensive on the secondary market) LEGO Super Heroes Captain America and Ironman minifigures just began. LEGO sent me these minifigures to run this fun little contest. All you need to do to enter is to write a review on the new LEGO Super Heroes Movie Maker app.

The app is fun, and if you can try it out by all means do so! It is free after all! However you do not need to own an Apple product to write a review. If your review is that LEGO should have released these for Androids as well - or something like that - that is fine. Just helping you out here. But please make your review meaningful. LEGO is genuinely asking for feedback on their app. That is why they provided such a generous prize. And if you can make a little video with the app, you get more chances to win!

It seems we are all running competitions for these: TnB started theirs a week or so ago and I'll be running one when that one has finished :-)

Huw, yes, looks like it! The one I'm running, and the one TnB both finished as the end of the month, then it is your turn! LEGO fans are so spoiled! :-D

@akunthita I believed this was not mention in the contest post on your site, but I am currently writing a storyboard for my entry on TnB, can I use the same video and submit it to your contest? Or does the video have to be completely new?

Hm... that's a good question and something I haven't thought about. If I remember correctly TnB wants the video to be new and unique, so it appears that submitting the same video to both contest would be against their rules.

I think I'm leaning towards having a separate entry, just so that we don't get a whole bunch of the same entries on the two websites. Maybe you can ask Ice at TnB and see what he thinks. It is not my intention to have a conflict between the two contests.

If you or someone else have some thoughts or suggestions on this let me know. I will also sleep on it.

Just another thought; Ice is running an actual contest with only video entries that will be judged on their merits and the best video will win. While at TBB we are technically running a raffle. You can enter a written review of the app, or a video (which will count as 3 entries, no matter what is the quality or subject).

I can't try the app as I don't have an Apple product, but my understanding is that it is easy to use. I assume you are endeavoring to make an awesome video for the TnB contest so it will be the best and win, so it shouldn't be too much more work to put together another short video for the contest at TBB (where quality does not matter - only that you try and use the app). Maybe you can post the real video on TnB and the bloopers at TBB...(c;
