[Master thread] Help identifying parts, sets and minifigs

Thanks, I was trying with the part number and then description. I’ve got 88 lbs I bought that I’m sure I’ll have many pieces I need to search for.

@Cvagle05, as much as possible, enjoy the process of identifying parts. There's something almost addicting about it to me. Aside from the typical gross-factor that goes along with sorting through bulk bricks that have seen better days, I find the hunt of identifying sets and parts to be extremely rewarding. 

Once you get used to common search criteria, the process should move more quickly. Look for printed parts, stickers, unique parts/colors. 

I worked through 45lbs recently and had success identifying 99.9% of all parts/sets.

@Switchfoot55 Very addicting. I’m at the tail end of sorting about 40 pounds of bulk. I’ve figured out about 35 sets.  The disappointing thing is finding 1 of a kind pieces but nothing else for the sets they go to. I’m also missing about half of the “large” pieces. Oh well, I’ll make it work somehow.

Which sets are these two from? The only number I found on them is 2 and 04 (maybe 204).

Good morning.
Came across this guy in a bin of lego at a retro toy store. Is he a fake/replica LEGO? Ideal for this time of year (well, i think its supposed to be Santa)
, and the hole seems LEGO style and size, just never seen one before.
Gonna use him a the baby in my star wars nativity/winter scene I think. Of course, if thats not sacrilegious to some, if he is nonLEGO :)

You can refine your search for a particular year, for instance...

Will give you a list of parts released in the year 2002.

To change it, just go-to the year released box and choose the year you are looking for.

Depending on what you are searching for, there are many different ways of searching for certain parts. It's sometimes better on bricklink to start with the basics (search for Technic) then try different variations on your searches. For example if you are just looking for Technic bricks you can refine the search to bring up just the bricks then you can filter by year or colour.

Found a few of these in a bin of LEGO purchased over CL.  Anybody seen these before?  It's about the size of a 2x2, but maybe double the thickness of a plate. There is a very light 5 (6?) on one of the strsight interior pieces and has a side injection point, so it seems a little older. There is no other identifying information on it.
