that other part I've not seen before, is there any indication it is actually Lego on it?
It's a bezel from one of the old watches. Not sure which one specifically, but I feel like the black bezel was in a number of the different ones.

It's from the watches Lego makes. Hope that helps!

    This is it, watch bezel.

No grey so I'm either going mad or I have something special.
Kinda late to the party aren't you @plasmodium and @starwars4ever?

Hi, I was wondering if you wonderful Lego people could help me with this photo. Do you know what Lego set they are from.  I'm tidying up the kids mess!! Are the heads/legs/arms on the right bodies???  I have 6 more photos but thought I'd just put one on to start with. Thanks, Bob

    Hello,
New to the site. One reason I joined was because I cant figure out what set I have. Ive looked up the codes on the minifig but nothing matches. I found a bunch of the same sets like this. I think it may be educational but unsure. Any help would be appreciated. The minifig looks like Olivia from the Friends line but is stamped 2009 on the back. I thought those came out in 2012.
  • Toc13Toc13 Member Posts: 1,144
Checking on Friendsbricks, it certainly looks like an Olivia minidoll. From either 3184, 3315 or 30102.
Just trying to check on the other parts

The rest of the parts looks like a random assortment to me!

Nice carpet by the way. Looks very 70's!

Can't find that grey ladder piece in combo with that Olivia.
  • GallardoLUGallardoLU Member Posts: 644
If I were a betting man i'd say this is a focus group set. Lego spent years making sure the friends line was a good idea before launching it. in that time i'd wager there were a few small sets done to see response from actual kids. this may be one of those. (many of the pieces here are not in friends sets at all as far as I can see)

I noticed a lot of our minidolls say '09. The parts were developed way ahead of wide release.

    ^^ Looks like something mindstormy.
  • binaryeyebinaryeye Member Posts: 1,831
    Is it #8043?
  • Switchfoot55Switchfoot55 Member Posts: 3,353
^I thought the same thing initially, but the motor placement seems to not match, along with a few other parts from the base.

...I'm not technic expert, but I'll keep looking.
  • TheFewTheFew Member Posts: 1,781
Is it a real Lego set? Bricklink only references 5 sets that include the IR sensor. 6 if you include the recent tracked racer...
  • TheFewTheFew Member Posts: 1,781
Having said that the IR reciver does seem to have an alternate part number/design. But again that does not link to any likely sets apart from thr 8043 already mentioned.
  • oldtodd33oldtodd33 Member Posts: 2,694
This assembly uses black tracks, the #8043 uses DBG tracks and the 8043 base assembly is built differently and also uses the small sprocket wheels that the 8043 doesn't use so it's not that.
  • oldtodd33oldtodd33 Member Posts: 2,694
    I'm pretty much ready to throw this in the MOC pile as there is only 1 set that uses the M motor and black tracks. http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=42065-1#T=S&O={}

Any ideas on this little 2x2x1 with a single centered stud on top? Can't find a number on it other than a single 7 underneath. The bottom is essentially completely hollow.

  • BumblepantsBumblepants Member Posts: 7,633
The first and third with 4 digit number stickers, those will be the set number. Lego often uses the set never as a license plate or vehicle ID number.

I think the blue and gold bladed ship hull is Jay's Stormfighter #9442

The red tracked vehicle belongs to Bane in the Batcave #6860

    That's a Drome Racers "minifigure" body. It is found in #4588, #4591, #4592, #4593, #4300, #4301, and #8358 in black.

Except if you actually do that you find that it's not true for these. I think that little trick only works on more recent sets.

@Astrobricks That system has worked for decades. You aren't considering that those stickers aren't Lego stickers.

The gold blade parts that aren't attached to the rest of the parts in the storm fighter picture are from the ninjago 2013 golden dragon #70503

Ahaha, late again, but I can tell you why...it's because your previous comment was the last comment on the page and I didn't see there was a whole new page of comments. I was under the impression that I was the first one replying. That keeps happening, especially on this thread!

Top row, left and right mystery number sets, they look a bit un - Legoey to me. The black arch on the boat doesn't look like Lego at all.
Could be mixed brands being mated together.

I think that is from an educational mindstorm challenge kit. I have seen a lot on eBay that had some of the parts in your set and it was part of challenge where they had to create a vehicle to drive over obstacles. The lot i saw had the obstacles which looked more like a bridge and had a width about the perfect size to fit your vehicle. I looked for two hours and couldn't find the set anywhere.

Ok so have joined this forum after seeing the Lego 4D Movie and Wildstyles Rollercoaster.

Wondering are those parts real lego parts or just created for movie? I would have thought they would only use valid lego pieces.

In the movie the rollercoaster looks like a Kynex type coaster, or is the best we got so far the Friends Amusement park.

Thanks for excepting me to the site

I'm trying to identify this "plant" piece.  It's in "The LEGO Neighbourhood book", in the Canal Ring House instructions (step 12 on page 199).  I can't find it on Bricklink.  Any thoughts?

@Briking I would look for it under headgear accessories; I don't think it's a plant originally, but one of those things that fits into the clip on some of the hairpieces or headgear on the Islander characters...

EDIT: Yep, here it is: http://rebrickable.com/parts/87696/
