@emmtwosix - I love this piece and have both halves myself just for the heck of it, just because it looks so good.

Huh, it's even in a set this year! You guys are awesome! I tried searching "hemisphere," "asteroid," "meteor," and at least a hand-full of other things on bricklink to no avail. Didn't even cross my mind to simply type "rock." I was beginning to question whether or not it was actually a Lego part or some knock-off brand.

Not sure how I came across it, but it got me wondering if the 2013 SW Planet set with asteroid will look anything like this. Thanks! :)

Thanks to the assistance earlier in the thread, I'm left with far less bits in my box that I started with. I've a couple of items that look like they are from a set, but I've no idea which one. Does anyone have any suggestions? The likely timeframe is 1975-1985, and it's more than likely something from a town/city collection:

    These:

    And these:

    Thanks

The window looks like 6160, specifically #6160c03 (trans blue glass) and used as recently as 2007 with the first entry down as 1994 for a red one.
  • beegeedeebeegeedee Member Posts: 380
Also, the windscreens are #4872 Windscreen 3 x 4 x 4 Inverted which are used in the most recent airport in the control tower but also go back quite a few years as well. Looks like the first use in tr. lt blue was in a fire station back in 1985

Thanks - I have a big yellow/red door as well, so it looks like both are from 4117-1 in that case. Not a set I remember owning, but there you go.

Wrong thread probably, but when building the sets I've discovered a few bits I'm missing. The 'standard' stuff I know I can order online from Lego, does anyone have any suggestions how I can identify/search for more complex things. One specific piece I need is a roof segment from the aircraft in 6392 (a sort of white hinged piece).
  • BrickDancerBrickDancer Member Posts: 3,639
@cah - You can use the Inventory page of the set on Bricklink to identify the part and its design ID. If Lego doesn't have it, then someone somewhere in the world will and hope they are selling on BL.

    http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=6392-1

I'm guessing your part is #4857 'White Slope 45 4 x 4 Double with Hinge'.

^^ you can buy (almost) all LEGO bricks at bricklink.com - it is a site that combines a lot of different hobbists and sellers of new and used LEGO-bricks (and sets). From their index of the bricks used in a specific set - for instance: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemInv.asp?S=6392-1 you can click on the brick in question, select the colour you want, and see who has it for sale, and how much they want for it.

Usually it pays to buy several bricks at once, so you can build your own wanted list, and then ask the site to find resellers with all or most of the bricks you want.

I just placed my first order last week, and was very pleasantly surprised - it works like a charm!

Brilliant, thanks again for all the help. My son is absolutely over the moon at his new LEGO city - and I've had great fun in my lunch-hours rebuilding my childhood playthings. It wouldn't have been possible without this site, and the hugely helpful members.

    Hello All

First time posting here so I hope this works as easily as it seems to be...

My family just bought a 11 pound bag of LEGO for $100. In there are the following Minifigs and I was hoping to get some help identifying them.

    Hello @DawnTreader, welcome to Brickset.

    #1: Torso: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=973p31c01
    #2: Torso: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=973pa6c01

    #4: Head: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626bpx5
    #5: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=48494pb05

Hope this helps. Some of these minifigs have been broken apart and mixed in with un-matching torsos and legs.

Wow. Thanks! That was really quick! :)

Is there a way to cross reference that with the LEGO Element ID or Design ID?

I picked these up at a car boot the other day, but I have no idea what theme or set they are from, does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

The one on the right is from Pharao's Quest I believe.
  • paul_mertonpaul_merton Member Posts: 2,967
A few of them (or at least the constituent parts) could have come from the #30090 and #30091 polybags that were given away with newspapers last year.
  • yys4uyys4u Member Posts: 1,093
Yea I think its a bunch of Pharaoh Quest mixed with CMF. Like the center one I think is the Bandit from CMF Series 6. Looks like theres the traffic cop to the right of him and one of the explorers legs to the left of him. I think the rest of the torso are from Pharoahs quest but I'm not sure.

    thanks people :) most helpful.

That tends to happen when kids play with the LEGO... ;)
  • andheandhe Member Posts: 4,000
The second left face is the CMF ice fisherman and the second right face is actually an old adventurers face 'Babu'? I believe. The face and legs on the 3rd left are from s5 zoo keeper CMF, the the black figure in the middle is the s6 bandit, minus his hat and guns (though the fig far left is holding one).

Don't you just hate it when people mix minifigures parts around?

Not sure what this is. It looks like the base of 6629, but I have that already here and don't remember having two the same.

Hi. Can anyone help me identify which minifigs these are? I am not familiar with any of them. Figs may or may not have the correct head/torso/legs combination. Thank you.

    Can anyone identify these bionicles?
  • peterlinddkpeterlinddk Member Posts: 170
^^ Beachbum319 - some of the minifigs looks like Knights Kingdom II - I can't help you more than direct you to http://www.bricklink.com/browseList.asp?itemType=M&catString=9.536 - and suggest that you browse around looking for the minifigs you have.

The guy in the green vest is this one: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=973p73c01 - check the list of sets, and see if that specific combination is in any of them.

I can't recognize the one in the top-right corner.

@Beachbum319 The top right mf looks like the torso is from a Star Wars Hoth Rebel.
  • JosephJoseph Member Posts: 629
    ^^^ Those look like #8732 #8900 #8727 #8902 #8730 and #8904

^ The figs you have labeled as Res Q are really Aquanauts.

^Ah thanks, I was just doing it off the top of my head before the end of work :s :P

Anyone help with what set this load of sealed bags might be from?? Picked up as a job lot on eBay. Nothing in the description as to which set they might have come from?? Only have the 3 #7 bags, plus 8,9,10,11,12.
  • peterlinddkpeterlinddk Member Posts: 170
^ It is just a hunch, but those bags remind me of set #6211, Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer. I haven't built one myself, but the colors, shapes, and sheer number of bags just says "Star Destroyer" to me.

Pretty sure @peterlinddk is right. You can clearly see the following parts in the bags:
    http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=3676
    http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=41752
    http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=6180

Only #6211 seems to have those together with this abundance of grey plates etc. pp.

I would like to get some ideas what kind of sets are included in this picture. I can identify tantive iv and Jedi Starfighter. Thanks.image
  • kempo81kempo81 Member Posts: 961
Possibly a clone turbo tank wheel there... And a couple of feet from an AT-AT??

It looks like you have a Jabba figure in the top right corner and also a Jedi ring from set #7661.
  • plasmodiumplasmodium Member Posts: 1,956
I can see what looks like part of Jabba's sail barge (top left-ish), not to mention Jabba himself at the top right, and a Princess Leia minifig from the same set near the middle. There could well be a tie fighter of some sort in there too. I can see it's windscreen near the bottom right, and there are lots of black bits.
  • kempo81kempo81 Member Posts: 961
^agreed, possible sail barge with all the brown. Also there are some light green slopes and enough minifigs (bespin guard/IG88) to suggest a slave 1 (6207)

@mressin @peterlinddk - thank gents for the help, I'm leaning towards the same now I've had a look at the parts list - the only red herring I can't figure out is there are quite a lot of trans neon green pieces (if you zoom the image you can see some) were there some of them in the ISD? I can't see them listed on the parts sheet?!
  • kim43235kim43235 Member Posts: 165
wow.. Thanks! you guys are great. Still debating whether I should buy these set for $230..
  • plasmodiumplasmodium Member Posts: 1,956
@kempo81: There was a second Star Destroyer (http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=6211-1) That had green bits for the laser guns. It could be that one?
  • ChoochChooch Member Posts: 148
I would appreciate if someone can help me identify these minifigs. I bought a bulk lot that came with some Star Wars sets and these figs were in individual separate bags. I'm not a huge fan of SW so not sure where they belong. I put colored tiles (& the bat) in front of the figs in the picture for reference.
    Thanx in advance...
