@mhe4 The bigger question is where did you get that in that color? Looks like dark blue to me.
  • mhe4mhe4 Member Posts: 47
It is regular blue and was in a big lot I bought a few months ago that I'm slowly sorting through.  Have never bough a bulk collection/lot, so this is a new experience for me with identifying pieces.  The lot came with a packet of instructions of supposedly complete sets and another packet of instructions for maybe incomplete sets.  The parts were mostly just in big tubs all mixed together (and still are).

^ and ^^: Could be the lighting in the pictures. I have lots of these parts and every one of them seems to be a slightly lighter blue than the standard blue for whatever reason.

Lego has a time-honored tradition of using slightly different plastic for random parts with no rhyme or reason.

My favorite example, part 6140 the 1x6 bar, in red was actually rust colored, you also see it with some Technic gears.

I'd love some help with determining which version of the Black Falcon torsos I have. I've started at them forever and am still not sure. Thank you

Need a little clarification on some of the SOC minfigs please.

I'm trying to rebuild set #3403 Fan's Grandstand with Scoreboard.  It appears the green shirt minifig is marked as https://brickset.com/minifigs/soc046/soccer-fan-green-and-white-team-green-cap

I'm correct in saying this torso does not have a number printed on the back?

When I try to buy it on Bricklink it shows a 10 on back which is from #3409?

Torso from #SOC002 4 doesn't a set linked to it. Is it an alternate of #SOC149?

Lastly, is torso from #SOC093 11 an alternate to #SOC151?

    thanks

If I'm correct and I believe I am, the reason you can't tell the difference is because there is none. You have two early torsos as shown by the small clutch teeth inside. The later versions would all have the larger clutch teeth that look more like an "x" inside.

Sorry, I wanted to add this link as it shows a good comparison.  https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=973pb0297c01&idColor=7#T=I&C=7

I'll do this one at a time. The 3403 figure does have a "10" on the back and it is also came in 3409. Check the inventory for set 3403 on Bricklink and you will see this to be correct. https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=973pb0365c01&in=S

If you go to Bricklink you will see this torso was mistakenly put into inventory and is now marked for deletion. You should research your torsos from them, not brickset. https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=973pb0365c01&in=S

    The same thing goes for soc093. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?M=soc093#T=S&O={"iconly":0}

Thanks for the clarification, because I do have 4 torsos without a number on the back.  Now I'll have to see which set those belong to.

According to BL, there are none without a number on the back. If I remember correctly, some of these came with stickers for the number. It's possible they never had a number because they were supposed to have stickers but were never applied. I also remember a lot of variations in those soccer set inventories.

Lego City Safari jeep or something like that. Alternatively they could be from the Lego Batman Movie Joker car (it's a late 1970s/early 1980s American car in purple)

    1st photo: #6359 Horse Trailer

    2nd photo: #6672 Safari Off-Road Vehicle

3rd photo: I can't find one set that has all of those parts. The doors are fairly common, but the 1x2x1 panels are in two sets:

    #6389 Fire Control Center
    #1656 Evacuation Team

The 2x2 flat tile is in five sets:

    #6593 Blaze Battler
    #9365 Community Vehicles
    #6612 Fire Chief's Car
    #1702 Fire Fighter 4x4
    #6643 Fire Truck

    4th photo: two sets:

    #6357 Stunt 'Copter N' Truck
    #6675 Road & Trail 4x4

Like @oldtodd33 states these are originals since they both have the 4 prong and rounded crest. If there were from the Legends Black Falcon's Fortress set, they would be more of a 'point' to the crest like the link @oldtodd33 provided. The BL link to the rounded 'original' crest torso is here: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=973p43c01&idColor=7#T=C&C=7.

@thse the black 2x2 slope is 3039pb002 on Bricklink. It was in 5 sets from 1994-1995.
  • 560Heliport560Heliport Member Posts: 4,266
The red and blue triangles tile is 3068bpb0015 and came in just one set: #6534 Beach Bandit from 1992.

@thse That is part 4737.  The part number is stamped inside the anti stud at the bottom.

Yes, always look for numbers on the part. It may frequently require a magnifying glass though :)

I want to say Aragorn is in there, and I'm pretty sure that's an Olympic medal. Maybe some Chima?

Is the away to tell without the packaging if I have the Product collection #65801 Trains Value Pack or the individual sets?

Did #4565 Freight Crane Railway come with a Speed Regulator #4548?

#4548 Transformer and Speed Regulator did come with:

LEGO PART 5306c01 Wire with Brick 2 x 2 x 2/3 and Train Track Contacts

Is the color of the foot pad of #4548 specific to certain sets?

The set #4565 did not come with the speed regulator according to Bricklink. The speed regulator did come with the wire and contacts. The color of the pad is not specific to the #4548 regulator set as far as I know. Probably just a color variation between years. The grey pads being the later version I believe.
