@mressin Its clear from the pictures, that they luckily have all the new sets already.

    ^ Exactly my point.

@Graphite while I like Anakin. I think you can make a case for including him. Im just a bit fed up that this is the 6 millionth(feels like it although I think we are up to tenth) anakin. Its not a new one. And it wouldnt make this set any less exciting as even kids have anakin so can put him themselves.

^This is actually a new one of Anakin. Here's an up-close pic of his face printing:

To me, this is a must-have Anakin that better fills out the timeline for him. What's missing is an Episode II Anakin with Padawan Braid in Flesh color. This version of Anakin chronologically is from Episode III but before Dark Side transformation, like seen in the Anakin Mustafar minifig from his current Interceptor set 9494. Notice no evil baggy eyes, and addition of brown cape & smile.

Sure I can see your point and for 99% of the planet this will be a must have. But to me, and I do under stand that im in the minority here, I am starting to wonder how many slight variations they can do of each character as I am swiming in obi wans and anakins that are slightly diffrent than before. And well for me this just doesnt add to the set. Hell its making these models look a bit dull because all they seem to do is push the minifigures and how they are new. However a slight repaint isnt new. Its like taking your beat up old ford spraying it a diffrent colour, fixing a headlight and calling it brand new. It doesnt work.

*looks around at minifigs on shelf*

There are lots of similar figs, but there are some notable ones missing, I seem to not have a Boba Fett on the shelf.

I don't watch these closely, but it seems that is a glaring oversight, has he been in a recent set that I missed?

His Slave I is his most recent appearance. With Bossk and Han, along with carbonate Han.

^You don't have any Boba's at all? He must've been in 4 or 5 different sets, most recently, the latest version of Slave I.

    Carbonite, not carbonate.

I haven't built Slave 1 yet, I have a copy in the closet somewhere, will have to go dig it out and build it... thanks for letting me know...

    What about Jango Fett?
  • mattheww888mattheww888 Member Posts: 87
Jango's tough. He only came in one set that I'm aware of: http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7153-1.

    And I thankfully have him.
Im surprised they haven't brought him back seeing as how rare his figure is. I would love a revamp of his ship, but love the fact he is so unique and wouldn't want that to be ruined.

Same here. Jango Fett's Slave I is on display right next to Cloud City, so Jango and Boba are having a blast together.

@LegoFanTexas after building the Slave 1, let me know how you feel it compares against UCS Obi Wan, being 20% cheaper.
  • LegoFanTexasLegoFanTexas Member Posts: 8,404
@BrickDancer - will do... I actually liked UCS Obi Wan, but then I built it a year+ ago when it was 25% off, so for $75 I thought it was a fair value.

For $99, less so, but that wouldn't stop me since I'm a UCS collector. :)

In fact, I just paid $150 to pickup 10026 (ouch, pain, ouch!), one of the last UCS sets I don't have, now I only need 10129 and I'll be done. I'm skipping Darth Maul bust because it is just WAY too expensive for what it is...

^10129, of course, the most awful OT UCS model. I wouldn't pay more than $100 for it... though you'd likely be waiting a looooooong time for it to come back down. Of course, I wouldn't pay even a dollar for any of the PT models... so what do I know?

In case ya'll haven't seen these pics (forgive if you have...I'm slow at times..;).
Front and back of the box pics from Toysnbricks and Hoth Bricks.

I'm glad to see it comes with all 3 of the 'died way to quick' jedi knights. The set itself looks meh though.
One of my Favorite scenes in the movie. I will be getting this set. Although I believe they could have made it much more impressive!

@LegoFanTexas I like 10026, but won't got for it at the current prices. That $150 is painful indeed at over 3x RRP. Are you building it?

I want a UCS Speeder too, but agree with @y2josh that 10129 doesn't look worth it for some reason, even at RRP. I'm starting to itch for a 10179 though, but its quite pricey at current market price for the final model. I just want it because its Vader's, my idol =)
  • y2joshy2josh Member Posts: 1,996
^10175 (which I'm guessing is what you meant) isn't too pricey if you don't mind used. Most of the used ones are going for pretty close to the original RRP. Of course, if you have to have new, that's a different story. I'm still waiting for a standard UCS TIE Fighter to come out, myself. Maybe next year.

$150 was for a used set, new they are TWICE that price, grr... :)
