    You are correct, along with the 7191. Just do not think they belong. I understand why they did it with 10179 as they advertised that set as the first true mini-fig scale set. As for the other UCS sets I would prefer they did not come with mini-figs.

    Of course, this is just my opinion.

    well, LEGO doesn't brand or market it as a UCS set. many people conflate Direct (10xxx sets) with UCS, when they aren't necessarily (though often) the same thing.

    UCS Sets are only UCS if they have a display sticker with info on.

    ^7191 has R2-D2. 10134 also includes a droid.

    10188 may not have a display sticker, and yes I agree it isn't a UCS set, but it is still pretty ultimate! :)

    One of these days, I plan to build a second display stand based on what holds up IS and/or DSII and put 10188 on display properly... Just need a good custom sticker for it!

    As for UCS sets having minifigs... what's the downside, really? The UCS sets tend to be expensive as it is, a few minifigs here or there won't change that much. And others might actually make uses of those figs. If you're "worried" about the price increase, well, just sell the figs separetely. With the going price for single figs from sets, you'll recoup the added price and then some.

    @tvih - As a "worried" collector, I can't sell the minifigs since the 'set' would no longer be complete. As a UCS collector, I just wish they weren't included in the first place so the price would be a justifyable one.

    @flump - well, that's an understandable point of view, though personally generally I like having some minifigs included. It just seems to me that the UCS sets that do have minifigs either have so few or are so expensive that the few minifigs don't make a big difference. For example I believe the only ones with more than 1 minifig are the Millennium Falcon, Super Star Destroyer and Imperial Shuttle at 5 figs each. The first two are $499.99 and $399.99 RRP, while the shuttle is $259.99. So the only one where it'd even make a dent is the shuttle figuring that at most the figs add something like $3 each to the set price - probably less. And since MF is to scale, it makes sense that it has the figs. I'd guess TLG went along similar lines of thinking - throwing them in as a cheap bonus to the sets, even when they're not really necessary.

    With that said, for the Super Star Destroyer that I'm hoping to get some day only the Admiral and Vader would probably have some use and/or interest for me, so in that sense the other three are a bit of a waste. But for the above reason I don't really mind.

    @tvih - I'm just not sure they're necessary, period. I would say the only excemption to this and I would say is a neat addition is with the new R2 UCS. The mini R2 monuted on the name plate is pretty cool.

    All of the other sets....what is one supposed to do with them? I'd have my SSD or my Shuttle on the side, looking really good and oh, hang on, "Where's my mfs?" The cat's had them away since they were loose or got knocked over and are now somewhere amongst the birthday cards that were stood up on the same side.

    If they actually formed part of the set, they'd be a little more appealing, but for me they are just something for TLG to include and charge extra for or encourage mf collectors to buy. 10188 not being UCS has several mfs but then at least they have somewhere to be mounted within the set and be on show at the same time. They might as well include a free keyring or something as that would be of more use to a UCS collector.

    I might chuckle a bit if they re-issue an X-wing UCS. I find the collector/reseller fear of this happening quite amusing.

    Looks like most people thinking it will be O.T. What about if it is in another series altogether? I would prefer that rather than seeing another UCS repeat, like the person above me dared to say.

    To be honest there is nothing to say it won't be another theme and who's to say its even a 2012 release could be a 2013 announcement. I hope it is the b-wing and if I recall its the only set left to be revealed of significance (should all the rumours be true of course).

    The thing that looks so great about it is that it doesn't look like ti will have a ton of pieces so it should hopefully be a good price :-D

    Interesting! Does anyone think this might mean the Brick Fiesta reveal might be a different set? Otherwise they're unveiling a set which most fans will probably have seen in this video. Just a greedy optimistic thought :)

    As for the ship itself - my interest in Star Wars is fairly casual so my knowledge on the more peripheral vehicles was always lacking, looks very nice though.

    I think I might actually get this! I never buy SW stuff! These past 2 UCS sets (this one and R2) have just really gathered my attention. I really hope the B-wing doesn't reach the $200 mark. It seems too "small" to be that expensive. I also think the cockpit looks a tad unfinished, but it doesn't change my mind about it.

    That new element makes studs out symmetrical wings a breeze now. Hopefully won't be too expensive as it doesn't look massive.

    I never was a fan of the B-Wing myself, I hope the announcement would be something else... but seems unlikely.

    I sort of like the minifig scale ucs sets. The UCS MF was awesome showing actually how big the MF really was, same with the IS. This set looks really close to MF scale especially using the rounded cockpit pieces. Granted some sets you can't make MF scale (SSD, etc), but the ones that are possible are great.

    I estimate that it is similar to 10175 in piece count...so maybe 1250.

    I must say, overall, they couldn't have made it too much more accurate given the constraints of the medium.
