Windows Phone App

I am nearing completion of a Windows Phone App using the brickset api. Thanks to Huw for the help with a couple of technical questions. I am calling it Brickalog.

Here is the description:
Brickalog is an app for Windows Phone 7 which allows the user to enter the set number of a LEGO set and be provided with links to view the instructions for that set. It makes use of the web services provided by Brickset.com.

I hope to have the initial release submitted for review this week so it should be available in the marketplace before the end of June. I will also have a website up in the next couple of weeks as well.

Let me know if there are any particular features that you would like to have.

Thanks! I just submitted it for review. Last I heard this was taking about 3 weeks for initial review. I will update here when it is available. It will be free.

Please let me know your thoughts. I will be enhancing it very soon with set ownership features.

Unable to download the app on my HTC Trophy. It is saying I do not have the correct software. My software is up to date.

That's the phone I use as my primary. I downloaded the app from the marketplace. I have OS version 7.10.7720.68. Is it possible for you to send me a picture of the message you get or more details about what OS version you have?

There is now a new version available. This new release will allow management of set ownership, show set pictures, and has some other small UI updates.

Please check it out and let me know any feedback.

Great app, I've been using it for a while now and I've got to say that it's easy to use.
Also quite handy when missing building instructions or just want some info.
Now that you've implemented the ownership feature, it would be nice to be able to view the collection owned.
Again, great app, gave it 5 stars at the market :-)

Thanks Laziter, glad to hear you are enjoying it. I appreciate the feedback. Yeah, I will have to think about how to display the collections as the average person managing their sets has just over 84 sets.

As an additional note, I also heard back from Clabjagger today and he was able to download the app as well.

Will it tell you which sellers have the items you are looking for to make up the set? :D Lol!

Good Idea! Unfortunately, bricklink does not make an api available to my knowledge. Maybe that will change sometime in the future.

If Bricklink isn't a possibility, you could add 'Search Amazon' or 'Search eBay' options.

Edit: If you're going to let the app evolve and keep maintaining it, I would be more than willing to pay a few bucks for it. You could make a free version with limits such as no logging in to brickset.com.
You migt aswell make a few bucks for your efforts :-)
