The sets were "revealed" at the Lego counter at Brick Magic convention in Raleigh. Rep made a comment about the friendly zombies that only eat drumsticks! The castle looked really nice.

Any idea why the Zombie/Graveyard set has been lagging behind the others? It may be the only set from this one that I decide to get. I'm interested in the lumberjack hunter, and aside from the castle, he doesn't come in any other set.

I wish they had him in a lower cost set with a different monster (I am least interested in the zombies).

^ @Robb: I had the same question about the Zombie set. I might get only that set (but only for the zombies) and the smallest set (swamp creature).

I would be happy to have your zombie figs. :)

zombie/graveyard is a target exclusive (no [email protected] for it rumor says).

^ Almost every "retailer exclusive" is also sold directly by LEGO

Monster Fighters & LOTR are in the Glendale, AZ Arrowhead Mall store today.
  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,333
@tdhbr : did they have plenty in stock? I was not able to go today. Maybe tomorrow.
  • tdhbrtdhbr Member Posts: 188
^Plenty of MF. LOTR looked like it had been hit fairly hard. No Helm's Deep that I could see, did have some Mines of Moria, Gandalf's Arrival, Shelob's Lair ... can't remember past that. Oh, and one Diagon Alley at 10% off - which is now in my closet.

agreed. this one was from the mouth of corporate though during the MF talk at brickmagic.

I'm loving the new ghost and manbat minifigures! All the main characters feel totally recycled though..

Awesome! Too bad it's not in the stores yet, though.

Sacramento Lego Store had MF in, but not the castle yesterday. TRU had about the same sets at their jacked up prices today.

How come the US are getting MF and LOTR earlier than europe?, anyone know the UK release date for these
  • AFFOL_Shellz_BellzAFFOL_Shellz_Bellz Member Posts: 1,263
^ No idea, but also don't know why the new City Garage was released in Europe but not here. It could have something to do with basic Distribution control.

I had hoped to find the Architecture set Namdaemun Gate shown on the front page of the architecture area of [email protected] in the store on 6/1 but instead found Big Ben, which to me says we are getting two architecture sets in June. Unusual but I won't complain.

And how come Lego.com Germany has MF Zombie 9465 and but not Lego in the US?

Will it ever be sold here? When?

Are those printed panels on the corner of the castle or stickers?

I also see some of those new brick-facade, um, bricks.
  • CurvedRoadPlateCurvedRoadPlate Member Posts: 257
The panels on the castle are stickers, the good news is some of them glow in the dark.

LEGO store by me had Monster hunters and all of the LOTR. My Nephew wants the Ghost train, but I just cannot see paying 80 bucks for that Ghost train though.

If I get it will be for Christmas and not now.. Ill wait for a BOGO or some other deal before paying 80 bucks.

$80 is pretty standard for a train set with no pf or track.

9465 The Zombies will be available August 1, 2012 here in the US according to the LEGO site.

I'm kind of disappointed it's released separately from the other Monster Fighters sets and therefore not included in the Monster Fighters product collection.

    Cheers from Claremore, OK!

I wonder if Amazon, not the expensive marketplace sellers, but Amazon itself will get these.
  • dehnehsudehnehsu Member Posts: 206
Target Mountain View, Calif. (Made famous by the the Barcode bandit) has them in. They're on the endcap.
  • rolvtdrolvtd Member Posts: 52
^ Same in the Fairfield, Ca Target store, end cap near the Lego section, facing the electronics.
