Hey

I run The Daily Brick where we're having a Collectable Minifigures Building contest, thought I'd mention it here in case any Bricksetters are interested in entering. This is our first contest so I'd be interested to hear any comments you guys have.

The aim is to build a Lego scene to display one of your most prized Collectable Minifigures from any series. The scene can be from any theme and should be on a base no larger than 16 x 16 studs. The scene should show the Collectable Minifigure in their element, from their house to their work, as long as it relates to the minifigure in some way you can enter it into the contest.

The Prizes

1st Place - A full set of 16 Series 7 Collectable Minifigures and a Bagged Creator set of your choosing.
2nd Place - 8 unique Series 7 Collectable Minifigures of your choosing.
All runners up - A 5% off coupon for The Daily Brick.
For full details see the blog post

Happy Building!

    Ooh, I really must enter this! The only problem will be deciding which CMF to choose...

    ^ Assume you will win, then there is no problem!

    Lol, I meant which CMF to choose in my scene! I make no assumptions about winning :-)

    Just a reminder, there's only seven days left to enter the contest. We're looking forward to seeing what you build.

    Only a few hours left now, we've had 4 entries so far.

    Damn, I forgot to do this! Sorry @ljames28 :-(

    @LostInTranslation, don't worry, I forgot too :(

    That's a shame, we were hoping for a few more entries, we may run another a little later in the year with a longer deadline.

    What with being away in Manchester, this just slipped my mind :-(
    In sum: Lucy must try harder and work on her attention span next term...

    Lol same here @LostInTranslation. I have been burning the midnight oil between Army and my MOC I am designing. Just realized I am over 8800 bricks already. Jeez! And I am not even 1/4 way through with it

    @ljames28 or @Ijames28 (i can't tell the difference between lower-case L's and upper-case i's)

    Man, I can't believe this slipped my mind so quickly. I do apologise most sincerely. I reaally wanted to have a go at this too (but with the deadline looming so fast, I just assumed you would have had tons of brilliant entries by then, so it dropped off my radar a bit).

    Maybe @Huw could give you a front-page news spot next time (like he does with firestar) to remind us all on... hint hint... :o)

    I would have done it too, but for exams!

    I agree! I totally missed this somehow but would have loved to have a go at it!

    Me too! I actually had it done, but did not take a picture yet and my daughter then disassembled it. Maybe offer an extension for three days or so seeing as how there were not many entries?

    Only just seen this. I'd day extend the competition...please! ;-)
  • ljames28ljames28 Member Posts: 88
    Unfortunately extending the deadline wouldn't be fair to the people who already entered, the winners have been contacted and we'll make a post about it soon. Next time I'll talk with Huw about the possibility of publicising it a bit better. I'm glad to see there's interest for these types of contest :)

    I'm surprised that there were only four entries. Surely my chances are much better than I thought. :)

    Perhaps there will be more entries next time, if there is a next time.
