Oh and surely you mean 88mph, I don't think a true fan would get something like that wrong.

Do you have more cuusoo projects that think deserve to be in the spotlight?
Then show them to us here!

I hope it gets more supporters. You've got to wonder what TLG thinks of all these cuusoo projects that would need licenses though. (ex. The Legend of Zelda, The Wizard of Oz, Ghostbusters, etc.)

The other thing they ask you is how much would you pay for this set. I never have a clue how to answer this. Is there a way to fairly judge how much that set would cost? Once again, if I'm saying to low of a price point is that going to affect their decision to pick that project?

Thanks, now, I know how to store those damaged body parts that come in misc lots.
Just imagine if the only sets to reach 10,000 in a review period were a brothel, a model of the human penis and a mural of the words "F*CK YOU" (not censored).

Simple I guess but I love Venkman's hair!
They are asking for 10000 supporters. If they have a business case at that point, they are not going to drop the project just because another project would sell 10001 copies. Conversely, if they don't have a business case at 10000 copies, they are unlikely to have one at 10001.
Besides, this ain't Kickstarter so you are under no obligation to actually buy a single set even if you specify ten. And they know it. And they also know that the overwhelming majority of people buy exactly one copy of any set in the first place. So if anything, they will be looking at aggregated data and perhaps postpone a project where people would buy one copy on average in favor of a project that might sell two copies on average, but if both projects pass the review otherwise, then both projects still pass the review. Remember that a review can have any number of winners. No, there is not. In fact you're looking at it backwards, in a way. Remember that what you're seeing is never the final model. What the final model will look like will depend in no small part on what price the supporters of the project have specified, on average. If it's $30, you'll get like 300 parts. If it's $100, TLG would be stupid not to consider making it much bigger. If it's only $1, you'll get a polybag. Or more likely it won't pass the business-case review, but still: the point here is that it is not the model that determines the price, but rather the price that determines the model. What you're looking at right now is just concept art, a TL;DR.

I would really love this to be made, the old one was a fantastic set but an update would be most welcome even if done at a smaller scale than this project.
However I can't help myself and have made something film related.
I like supporting projects like this that face an uncertain fate if they get to review. I feel like I'm doing my part to help refine the boundaries of what can or can't become a product. In this case, it COULD perhaps be done as a brick-based product, but it's far more likely to be the sort of thing the LEGO Group would do through a third-party licensing partner, much like many non-brick-based projects such as books and software. Can LEGO Cuusoo support that kind of thing? Let's find out!
I haven't supported many new parts projects but I'd like to see one of those get to the review threshold as well, for a similar reason. There are guidelines in place for how such projects would be handled, but I feel the LEGO Group needs to put these to the test and determine if they work as well in practice as they do in theory. Supposedly, new part projects would just be incorporated in regular sets, not separately sold. But will the LEGO Group's designers take on that responsibility without hesitation? For some new part projects, which have particularly specialized applications, it may take some convincing, which could hurt the projects in review.
10 Worst projects on CUUSOO
Ok, I realise it might be a futile exercise trying to rank the worst 10 out of all 4800+ projects, but I'm bored, so I'm going to give it a go. Please note I have no wish to denigrate what people are designing (and I use the word advisedly), and I will stress that these are purely my own personal opinion. I just want to showcase those projects which are unloved and unwanted, rather than fancy-dandy projects that everyone loves. :)
I'm going to miss out the guy who wants LEGO to open a Disney Land in Japan, the few projects which just have a word as the photo with no bricks or description at all, the projects that just have a single minifig, and the project which appears to be a green 32x32 baseplate. Rather, I'm going to concentrate purely on projects that have actual designs (if you can call some of them that).
So without further ado...
10 Worst projects on CUUSOO
10. Apple iPad
Description: An amazing LEGO Apple iPad Modell
Now I don't actually think this is a bad design, as such. I just wonder what the point of it is. I mean, it doesn't actually do anything. With a real iPad I can tap icons and write emails with bad grammar, watch videos or play games. With this, I can do none of those things. And I'll have paid £35 for the privilege. Oh well, at least Apple fan-boys would buy it.
9. Video camera dolly
Description: I really like to make functional pieces from legos. This one is a camera dolly that can fit small video cameras. The top rotates so that you can do different types of shots. It was designed to video capture a crawling baby.
Okay, and what do I do with it if I don't have a crawling baby? Or a video camera for that matter?
Seriously, I admire people who make practical stuff like this for themselves, but do they not realise that it may not be something other people want? Or that the design is terrible?
I wonder if it would come with a free video camera?
8. S9 full space station.
Description: This is the micro version of the S9 (sector nine) space station that orbits Centox the home planet of the humans that were left there on a mission. There locked in a constant battle with S3 and are still trying to make peace.
Now I'm not a big sci-fi fan, so I guessed that this is from some programme I've never heard of. But in the comments the author states: I made it up completely based on some films like star wars and star trek
So we have a mini space station with a grand total of 16 bricks, which isn't even based on anything. Okay.
7. Brutus Buckeye
Description: He's the famous mascot of THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY...it's Brutus Buckeye!
Brutus is a student dressed in Buckeye colors with a headpiece resembling an Ohio Buckeye nut. Brutus has appeared since 1965, with periodic updates to design and wardrobe. As a member of the cheerleading team, Brutus Buckeye travels to many events around The Ohio State University and often makes appearances around Columbus.
Now this is just merely bad, and looking at a photo of the real mascot, the head is completely the wrong shape. But what really made this stand out to me is that it has zero supporters. Not even the creator could be bothered to support it.
6. Mini Lego Taj Mahal
Description: I have made this Mini Lego Tag Mahal. As you see above there will be 5 golden pieces in this model and lots of white pieces. I hope you like my model and would love to see this model proceed. Thanks
I'm all for mini versions of larger sets, but it's really not very well proportioned is it? Or even proportioned at all. The best bits about it are the 4 outer towers, and personally I'd have done them with round bricks.
5. colour vs colour
Description: in this idea you start to collect up an army of motorcycles as you gradualy progress in your army of bikes you then choose a second colour and work your way to get the same number of bikes as the first colour you chose but each colour comes with a diffrent list of attack and defence moves all printed on a card you can trade these with friends and family and you could even get the whole family to collect a colour. there are eight diffrent colours(blue, maroon, gold, silver, yellow, red, black and white)
What? No, really, what? I have no idea what this is about. It seems that you get some coloured bikes and bricks in a pack, but beyond that I don't know, and care less.
My favourite thing about it though, is one of the comments, which says this: I love this but don't you think that instead of bikes you should use toasters?
4. Plane
Description: This plane has 3 large jet engines and2 small. It also has 2seats for the driver and co~pilot and 2 large windscreens.
Okay, I appreciate that some kid has spent ages designing this in LDD, and I appreciate it will probably have been the pinacle of his creative genius up to that point, but really, have you ever seen a plane that looks like that?
I don't even know what to make of this, as I can't translate it. My best guess is that it's a lego minifig keyring, which we already have, with a lego football keyring. What I do know is that it's been on CUUSOO for over 40 months and only picked up 4 votes.
2. Lego Architecture Cleopatra's needle
Description: This is a simple Lego Architecture that I would price at around 10$. It consists of around 100 bricks.
Now I don't know about you, but I reckon that whole thing consists of at most, 20 bricks. I know Architecture models are expensive, but 50p per piece? It's not exactly an interesting model either. It only misses out on the number 1 spot because it's actually recognisable as... a big spike, or something.
1. Micro Minecraft Biomes
Description: These Minecraft Biomes are a miniature version of different conditions you can experiance in the Minecraft world. I've already made four, (as you can see by scrolling down) but if I get enough supporters, I may be able to create more.
Woah, go easy there fella! You may be able to create more? That one there has 10 bricks, and one of the others has an impressive 5 bricks, so don't strain yourself!
Seriously, when I first saw this I wondered why someone had put some white and blue plates and tiles on there. There's a lot of Minecraft projects on CUUSOO, but this is easily the worst of the lot. In my opinion, it's also the worst design on CUUSOO.

Google Translate is no friends with Japanese "
I would have to agree with the last statement in quote. I love the Lego Tape Measure, and have wondered after finding the project why TLG hasn't produced one.
anything over approximately 750 pieces: OUT
anything related to a current LEGO license: OUT
anything related to a current license belonging to LEGO competitor: OUT
anything related to an obscure and/or dead IP: OUT
anything related to an IP that LEGO is unlikely to do: OUT
anything that is presented as a theme instead of a single set: OUT
That doesn't leave much

A flexible tape with measurements on it, is well.....a bit more flexible than a tool that tended to warp.
this is my new creation, i hope you like it. this is a myth hunter :)
