    9396 : 6734 1916 6997

Just wondering why 850487-1 Minfigure Halloween Set isn't in the database yet. It's been out in the wild for more than a week. Is there some sort of catalog review process?
  • AFFOL_Shellz_BellzAFFOL_Shellz_Bellz Member Posts: 1,263
@DadsAFOL where did you find this sold?
  • DadsAFOLDadsAFOL Member Posts: 617
    I purchased it at LLCA
  • AFFOL_Shellz_BellzAFFOL_Shellz_Bellz Member Posts: 1,263
@DadsAFOL was hoping it was a chain store, we aren't close enough to just pop in there to buy!

@Dad, until you mentioned it we didn't know the set number so I'll add it now. Can you send a decent picture, preferably head-on with no flash glare?
  • LegobrandonCPLegobrandonCP Member Posts: 1,917
@Huw Thanks to the Hi-res hero @Grogall, we have a HD picture of both the Halloween set and rock band.
  • HuwHuw Administrator Posts: 7,087
    Thanks!

^ You need to post here with a set number, some info and preferably a photo and one of the admins will add it.
  • OldfanOldfan Member Posts: 706
I sent an email about this to the contact address, but I'll repeat the information here:

    Product collection 65524, consisting of:
10132 Harry Potter Motorized Hogwarts Express
4515 Straight Rails for 9V (with World City box)
4520 Curve Rails for 9V (with World City box)

According to a poster on Lugnet, this may have been sold at Costco or other warehouse stores in the USA.

Let me know if you need better pictures; thanks.
  • HuwHuw Administrator Posts: 7,087
    Thanks, I'll get it added.
  • PhoneboothPhonebooth Member Posts: 1,430
Hey @Huw and @matthew - is there a master list in excel that is available?

I just bought a huge lot and thought a vlookup on the set # would save me considerable time from searching each # individually.

    Thanks guys!

Has anyone proposed to add a contents section in the descriptions? For example, number of bags, number of instruction books, if or if not there is a sticker sheet.

I've started to add promotional sets from LEGOLAND parks to the Database with the intention of listing all!

Any members out there with scans of the instructions (stickers??) or links would be greatly appreciated??

Can we add the set mentioned in this comment?: http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/comment/113930/#Comment_113930
  • HuwHuw Administrator Posts: 7,087
We certainly can! I'll get it added ASAP.

Additional availability information for 5000644 (Monster Fighters promotional pack):

This promo polybag was given away at US Toys R Us stores on October 27, 2012. If you helped build vignettes for the store's "graveyard scene" (by sorting through a bulk lot of bricks and following building instructions on paper, all supplied by the store), then upon completion you received this polybag.

(Or, if you did what I did and just asked nicely, the friendly supervisor gave you a copy...)

@huw There are two "sets" missing in the database:

    757 Red sorting tray
    758 Blue sorting tray

The trays are for the #759 storage cabinet.

For both items, price from 1 January 1989 - 31 December 1989 was DM 12.10 in the German catalogue, GBP 5.47 in the international catalogue.
  • JosephJoseph Member Posts: 629
A few random barcodes I noticed were missing (U.S. Unless otherwise noted):

    #30056 673419182027
    #9476 673419010917
    #79001 673419188234
#30086 673419181945 (and add to notes that it was available in the US at Walmart Dec. 2012)
    #8683-0 67341913047
    #8684-0 673419130486
    #30059 673419181921
    #20203 673419157469
    #20204 673419168182
    #20205 673419168199
    #79000 673419188227
    #79002 673419188241
    #79003 673419188258
    #79004 673419188265
    #79010 673419188272

    (Uk)
    #8909-0 5702014950078

Also, for #5000281 do you want the barcode of the card that came with it or is it better to leave it with no barcode?
  • atkinsaratkinsar Member Posts: 4,258
Thanks @Joseph, these are all clearly UPC codes given that they're 12 digits. I've added all of them, except for #8683-0 which was 1 digit short of being a valid code.

As for #5000281, not sure, @Huw?

@Huw, how do the barcode images get created, are they actually just images, or is there some clever trickery at work that auto-gens them?
  • HuwHuw Administrator Posts: 7,087
The barcode on the packaging, if there was one

The barcode images are images generated by some 'clever trickery' and it looks as if they have been.
  • atkinsaratkinsar Member Posts: 4,258
Oh yeah, it wasn't there immediately after editing but is now appearing.
  • JosephJoseph Member Posts: 629
    edited December 2012
^^^ Oops, that last digit for #8683-0 is 9
^^ #5000281 doesn't have a barcode on the bag itself; there's only one on the preorder card it's originally attached to (which is what they ring up when you buy it).
  • atkinsaratkinsar Member Posts: 4,258
I've added the UPC for #8683-0
  • JosephJoseph Member Posts: 629
    edited December 2012
Also, for future reference, I've just noticed that TRU lists the UPCs in the product information on their website. Of course they don't have all the sets, but it could help with a lot of them.

The most recently added item (as of this moment), a keychain, seems to have the wrong photo:

(It's a king from the castle range, but has an NBA photo)

What to do about this...Palace Cinema is listed as the Creator category, and all the previous modulars are listed under the Advanced Model category. When filtering my collection I would want to see all the modulars grouped together, not old modulars in one category and new ones in another. Can they be reconciled?
  • atkinsaratkinsar Member Posts: 4,258
8 sets to go until Brickset hits the 10,000 mark.

    Let's hope this isn't Huw's Y2K bug...
  • mressinmressin Member Posts: 843
I guess we don't have to worry about that before the 65576 mark. :)
  • HuwHuw Administrator Posts: 7,087
There won't be a problem, the unique internal set ID is already at 22,000-odd.

  • atkinsaratkinsar Member Posts: 4,258

  • HuwHuw Administrator Posts: 7,087
Like the alien conquest battle packs: 5 firemen in one, 5 policemen in another. Will get them added tomorrow.

^^^ Ooh, I want the coloured number and letter tiles more than the notebook!

^^ You mean minifig packs like the beach, rock band and Halloween ones?

The pricing is now available for Lego's most expensive set, their flagship product nonetheless.

http://shop.legoeducation.com/gb/product/lego-soft-starter-set-45003-183/ and several other Lego education products.
I was thinking of getting this set, til I found out the price!

I picked up a new set at LLW yesterday 850791 Minifigure Birthday Set. I have attached an image.

Also a couple of keychains with new numbers. Gold minifigure is now also 850807. Gold brick is now also 850808.

^ excellent. Series 1 Clown horn returns (that part has been going for $4-$5 on Bricklink). New color for the hair is appreciated too. And a new color for the shirt.
  • CsaboCsabo Member Posts: 7
I also picked up 850791 yesterday (which is not yet in the database). Here in Canada it was $11.99. The set is listed on LEGO.com:

    http://shop.lego.com/en-CA/LEGO-Minifigure-Birthday-Set-850791

On the back of the box, they list the elements, and the clown is listed as a single piece. This lead me to ask an associate at the LEGO store if the minifig was glued, but they said it wasn't (and that's correct). It's a really nice set, but a bit pricey.

^ Was this in a LEGO Store? I wonder if they have this at LLCalifornia?
