I have done a few window displays for a friend who owns a toy shop in my local town. These have all been recived really well by people. So i was thinking of turning this into a small businiss on the side. Has anyone else tried this? Did it go well? What were the problems about it?

The problem would probably finding clientele.

I think it's a great idea, in terms of places like opticians etc...which struggle for interesting displays. However, I have no advice for you. But good luck!

^that was what i was thinking and who i would tout business to.

@weinner I m hoping it will be slow and then pick up as more people see it. its not going to be full time so ive lost nothing if it doesnt take off.

I think it's a great idea by the way. Are you planning on presenting the idea to customers using LDD? I know nothing about that program, does it work on tablets? That would be neat.

Thanks. I do know what you mean though it is a worry that no one will take it. The plan is to sketch out ideas after talking with the owner about what kind of display that they want. LDD as far as I know doesnt have a tablet version. So that is why it will be better to draw it. Then I can always send screen grabs to show what it will look like.

There's a free app called BrickPad for iPad that will view LDD files...I haven't made a custom file, but I believe it's supposed to do that too
