Editing my Notifications

I started a discussion long ago, but don't want to receive notifications on it any more. Is there a way to stop notifications on just that one discussion? I know I can turn off notifications on my discussions, but I don't want to turn it off on all of them, just this one.

The short answer is "no", I don't think there's a normal way to treat one discussion differently than others with regards to notifications. That being said, I think it would be possible to transfer ownership of that discussion from you to someone else, provided that the new person either A)Wants the notifications for the discussion in question or B)Doesn't receive notifications for discussions anyway. I guess the only way we can know is to try...

The discussion is the Feedback one. I started it with good intentions, but now that people are using it, I keep getting notified... I can live with it, but was hoping there was a way to turn it off.

^ perhaps the admins could setup a dummy user that could be made the owner of that thread, and future ones like it that kind of continue on indefinitely.

Maybe we should just nominate someone? I nominate @dougts. ;o) (just kidding)

I'll see what I can do a bit later.

LOL, yeah, I learned never to raise your hand....

But the dummy user sounds like a good option. Boy, I feel sorry for that guy! ~ haha!

I feel sorry for Farmer John. He started the 'Predictions on Discontinuing Sets and their Secondary Market Value' thread and has over 3000 comments. lol.

This would be a workaround, but you could set your preference to not be notified about discussions you create, and only get notified about bookmarked discussions. Then, if you want notifications about your discussions, just treat it as a bookmark.

^ That might be an easier workaround then putting all this on @dougts. ;o)

Duh, simple and obvious solution.... must be why I missed it. :oP

@Legogeek - I'm not sure if you've already implemented Roland's fix but your feedback thread has been redistributed. If your settings remain the same, let me know if you get any alerts. Thanks.
