[US] Kmart: additional 50% off clearance toys

I did not see it posted yet, but in the ad for Kmart this week it notes that there is 50% off the clearance price in the toy department. I went by and picked up an Atlantis HQ for $12.50, the AC Earth Def. HQ for $33.50, the SW Geo. Starfigher for $11, and a few others. The average is about 62% off RRP, so happy hunting!

The 50% off clearance is going on right now. I visited two K-Marts and only found two Dobby sets - which doesn't help me, only @Matthew. ;)

UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I knew it started yesterday and I got caught up doing family things today and when I went to my local store this morning ALL of the sets were gone. I must have a new AFOL in the area as that was all that had been picked over. This store has been my little secret for the past 3 sales. I missed out on 3 bounty hunter gunships and a few Ninjago sets :(.

I did hit 3 other stores but only ended up with 3 Dobby's and 3 Isla De Murta's (at $7.50, I figured I'd sell/trade the figs and keep the bricks). Overall, VERY disappointed.

My Kmart didn't have much to choose from. But I did get the big Hogwarts ($51) and Earth Defense HQ ($33.50ish)

Oh and $5 card back if you spend more than $50 as long as you have the Shop Your Way Rewards card.

I'm confused because my Kmart had all the sets but not on clearance. An employee PDA'd them for me and they weren't showing up as to be clearanced. She told me that things weren't always storewide. Not sure what to think at this point but I may try a few more spots.

my Kmart had 20% everything including new stuff. I picked up a Triceratops set otherwise there wasn't much that interested me.

I hit a few more last night. Found the following:

Skull Truck $22.50
Fishing Boart $7.50
Bounty Hunter Gunship $17.50
Fountain of Youth $15
Dobby $4.50
Atlantis Exploration HQ - $12.50
AC Tripod Walker -$7.50

All in all, underwhelming. I am looking for someone who may have found the AC Mothership and the Podracers. Looking to trade. Let me know if you have multiples and might be interested.

^ What state do you live in? I would love to pick up the Atlantis Exploration HQ for 12.50 and another Tripod Walker. Unfortunately I don't have anything to trade that you mention.

At the Kmart that I went to yesterday, there was no LEGO clearance at all. Most of the sets are from 2012, and the ones that aren't are not on sale. I did find the new 2012 SW BPs for $1 off MSRP (13% off) though, and I hadn't bought any of those yet, so it wasn't a complete waste to go there.

Went to Kmart in Lexington today and there prices were even higher than TRU! Never thought I'd say another store would beat out TRU in terms of high prices for Legos!

Had a great score last night at K mart. Grabbed another Atlantis Exploration HQ for $12.50. 9 Fountains of youth for $7.50 ea. and went to Walmart and got price matched for the ones they had.

Yes, I got mine to do it. I just took in the receipt from Kmart.

^ I think some of you just got lucky since Walmart does not even match its own clearance prices. Policy is to match "advertised" prices -- not random sale or clearance items.

I haven't found a damn thing at either Walmart or Kmart.... both suck ; )
I thought I had hit gold tonight at Walmart as I found both a LEGO Star Wars Clone Turbo Tank (8098) and a LEGO Pharaoh's Quest Scorpion Pyramid 7327 in the "clearance" aisle. Both rang up full price... now I can see how the Star Wars set would be still regular price, but Pharaoh's Quest?! give me a break Walmart. The cashier said that this was a common problem with the Lego sets... then why are they sitting in the clearance aisle to begin with?

Mange to find white cap bay $40 @ local WM. My first one of the year yay~ can't believe it still can be found around this time as I thought they should be long gone by now. Also found T6 for $30, and 11 freeing Dobby @ 50% off. There are still aournd 10 freeing Dobby left, but some boxes are a bit rough. On top of that, also found some friends 30102 polybag which i wasn't able to find before in other WM.

I have seen a ton of Olivia's House on clearance aisle. I asked an employee about it and her answer was they didn't have room on the Friends aisle so they just put them in clearance aisle but they were regular price.
