Brickbob09: Hello Brick Builders

Hello Brick Builders,
it's great to finally be a part of the Brickset Forum. I've wanted to join since the forum was made, but due to the 16+ rule, it's been a wait until I've been allowed (yes, I'm still holding a grudge ;) )

Anyway, I've been a member of Brickset since 2008 (under the same name here) but have been a LEGO fan my whole life. My first proper set was 1796 Freestyle Bucket (I can't remember the exact year, I think it was over 10 years ago), of which I loved creating my own models.
Unfortunately this got me into a bad habit from an early age of taking apart LEGO models and mixing the pieces to create my own. The result is me now having many LEGO sets with missing pieces, several of which are impossible or ridiculously expensive to replace (especially pieces on sets that are now highly wanted).

LEGO Star Wars is what made me a true TFOL, or I should say, LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game. I remember as a child playing it day after day dreaming or owning those LEGO sets in the brick (back then my parents thought LEGO was over-priced, in-fact, they still do ;) )
Eventually I bought my first ever LEGO Star Wars set, 7113 Tusken Raider Encounter, seeing it reduced at the local shops and remembering it from the game, I just had to buy it.

Since then I've been collecting much more LEGO Star Wars (my main interest being Clone Wars). My other 'LEGO-likes' include the new Super Hero range (after missing the first Batman sets, I'm not going to miss these!) and Bionicle (R.I.P). I also collect odds and ends from many other themes that catch my eye.

I share my time (and money) with my other hobby, playing a MMORPG. I make MOCs in my spare time but have never thought about combining the two. Sadly I have less time than I used to for LEGO, because of school work, but I'll always keep up my life-long love of the brick.

I hope to write much more here in the forum and spread my LEGO thoughts and experiences with others.

Keep building!
-Brickbob

    Brickbob,

Welcome to the forums! Like you, I'm a large Lego Star Wars fan. It's definitely the best theme, some people are just reluctant to admit it ;-)

Thanks for the warm welcome guys :)

^ Definitely. The first wave of Episode II sets have real sentimental value to me as I have many memories attached to them. The feeling of great excitement still comes over me when I see them. Is this normal? :D

Hey Brickbob! Welcome to the Brickset forums!

^ I think that makes sense. I loved the Episode II sets, and I hope we get more for the AOTC 3D release.
