    @BadzMaru

    You are quite correct, and in this case I think TLG was wrong, but keep in mind that unless you're prepared to take them to court, it doesn't much matter.

    It works however TLG says it works, unless you want to get a lawyer involved, which of course would be insane in this case. :)

    In the end I got what I wanted, the TC-14 that was meant to be in my order. I also got a bad impression of Lego customer service. Would I buy from them again? Only if it is for an exclusive not available elsewhere (likely) or if they are cheaper than everywhere else (unlikely). Although that was also true before the promo and my messed up order.

    ^ Could be. Or it could be a custom. But not enough images for me to judge.

    ^ I'm thinking it is a custom as well, but there was a White Boba Fett keychain released to Lego Employees a while back. Hmmm

    the guy took the TC-14 and stuck a keychain on it to try and make a huge killing off some unsuspecting mark who thinks this is some VHTF promo item.

    My question - why? The chrome spraypaint would get scratched to bits in a pocket with keys.

    You could always take the keyring off :P

    Going rate is around $15-20 right now -- I'm guessing now is far too soon to sell. Should I expect a bump around Christmas? Just want to plan out. Thanks.

    I doubt you will see a bump, more a gradual rise with time.
