If I was REALLY evil I would say I brought something and it never came and I get my shiny figure :P

Have they still some in stock or are they all gone
  • monkeyhangermonkeyhanger Member Posts: 3,170
Sherlockbones: With no order history to back up the imaginary purchase they'd be chasing you for payment on an order you say you have received but haven't been charged for
  • timinchicagotiminchicago Member Posts: 239
So I am looking at my invoice and notice that I was charged $1.43 for the TC-14 and $.32 for the poster. I was then charged sales tax on that subtotal and then credited $1.75. Is this normal? Seems very convoluted, not to mention making me pay sales tax on "free" items.

^-- LEGO is really bizarre with their invoices, for example I got two 7066 HQs in an order and they only listed two on the invoice and had a whopper of a price on the invoice with a 'credit' (sales price deduction) but still kinda high, then I noticed the 3 on the invoice when I only had two in the box. I was going to complain until I realized that they split the order and the other 7066 HQ in that order was in another box.

Got my orders and all my Tc-14 figures, but one poster was beaten up bad, and took LEGO about 1 day (Pretty darn quick IMO ) to get back to me reporting they'll send out another poster.
The interesting this was that I also order 20 CMF 7's and one package had an 'IT guy' without ahead..
Went to LEGO.com not expecting a lot but I got an almost immediate response (after only about an hour after sending in the request) reporting that they will send out a replacement part immediately... Wonder if they are seeing a lot of this again with the figure production and distribution.

So GREAT customer service from LEGO as usual.

This morning I checked the FedEx tracking on my shipment with the IS and TC-14 and it showed "delivered" at 7:52AM. Only problem is I was home and there was no delivery that I heard or can see. I opened a case with FedEx.

My lego.com order on May 4th was delivered on May 10th but I don't really know what arrived because it will take another 2-3 weeks for me to get the items here in my country. Since the package will be sent all the way to the Philippines, I hope that everything I ordered are already inside the boxes that will be sent here. If something got back ordered then it's going to be really expensive for me. I did call customer service immediately after i made the $180 order and told them to put everything in a box or two because of my situation. I hope that they were able to follow that instruction.

Some of you may be able to help me though, the Fedex site showed that the package weigh 7lbs. Does that sounds like the weight of a $180 order? I only ordered the small sets like the $12.99, and $19.99, and the only big one is the hulk set. Thank you.

^ The weight does not necessarily scale with the price. Why not check the weight of the sets you bought on bricklink. Remember packaging too.

I am not sure if Lego read this But I have a gripe with TC-14 Grey hands so shabby! She is stood next to my chrome Stormtrooper & I am thinking black hands, just looks so much better.

SO please if you make another Chrome something (jango Fett maybe!!) black hands please.

oh & while I am thinking a Gold chrome R2-D2 you no that makes sense ;)
  • monkeyhangermonkeyhanger Member Posts: 3,170
Does the use of black hands for chrome stormy not match what the original character would have used and complement the figure? As the protocol droids have same colour hands as body in character, grey is closest match to the chrome finish on TC-14.

Yes on the 'orginal', except stormtroopers were never silver (shame)! and grey hands look a bit pants!!!

Yay! My TC-14 on back order is shipping!

Reading all these stories, Im glad I made the hike to a store rather than ordering online.
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,556
The hands are not so bad for me ... for me the worse detail is the grey "shadow" on the chrome behind the shoulder. They are obviously coated with arms on, angled backwards.
  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,335
^ I noticed that too. Why can't they coat the arms seperately and then attach them?
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,556
I wonder if they scratch when the arms are put on? It does seem a strange and annoying little detail.

It might have something to do with the parts not fitting together once they've been painted. Decent paint and lacquer can sit quite thick on a surface and Lego is a tight fit by it's very nature.

Finally got the last of the 10 orders. All TC-14's shipped and are in great condition. All but 1 poster was not bent or creased. The one I got in yesterday had the poster bent and creased but i called lego and they are replacing it for me. got all 64 bags of S7. Whats sad about that is Of all the S7 I got maybe 120 or so I have gotten 1 Tarzan. Went to Kmart and targeted with 100% accuracy 20 packs that have the knights, Aztecs and space patrol guys.I was so surprised there were so many of them. So I'm guessing that the box Kmart had was a little more random than usual.
  • monkeyhangermonkeyhanger Member Posts: 3,170
Are people that bothered about the poster? Especially those that got more than one order in. I've been giving mine away, they're worth nothing - some have tried and failed on ebay uk. Haven't had a scratched TC-14 as far as I can see on the 4 that I have (one more on the way, and another still part of an "in process" order).
  • monkeyhangermonkeyhanger Member Posts: 3,170
Still no VIP points on any of my orders - Lego told me to wait 3 days for them to go on, that's well passed.
  • cynthilinacynthilina Member Posts: 188
Well to comment on both of the above posts. I don't mind that the poster is bent and creased. however If Lego is willing to keep customers happy it will keep them coming back .For example I have had such good service that I only Primarily buy from Lego anymore. Unless there is a 50% off sale at the Walmart etc.. I will be getting the chess set this weekend! and about the VIP points. I just called lego and they added them for me right away on the phone. She was very nice and very talkative. It was a great experience.
  • monkeyhangermonkeyhanger Member Posts: 3,170
Cynthilina: I have never known such a large organisation to do so much for their customers when you speak to them on the phone - not quite so much by email. I had to go to quite long lengths to get a replacement sticker set for the latest X-Wing kit that arrived without stickers, proving I owned the set etc. It was a bit of a chew-on to try and get the box out of the loft to get the code off the back of the instruction booklet. One call and it was sorted without having to go into the loft. I generally only buy exclusives from S@H as Argos regularly have 3 for 2 on their large range of Lego here in the UK. Has anyone else not had their points without chasing them up?
  • cynthilinacynthilina Member Posts: 188
I have never gone through the email. I am able to call and get some one right away. I just glad Lego had the foresight to be sure every country or close to it has its own service center. Atleast I can understand the person and what I have found is that allot of them like to talk about Lego on the phone casually and actually like their jobs!! If I could I would work for Lego. I know the 2 in Phx are hiring right now.

If you want tarzans I have a few spares (UK). PM me.
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,836
I went through email to get a replacement poster, no issues.
Found a CMF package I bought through them was missing the IT guy head, sent an email and they got back to immediately that same night and reported that they sent out a replacement head...
If you are in a hurry or have a difficult issue (such as licensed parts missing) call LEGO. If you are simply missing one part, or there was a damaged box, then you can send an email.
  • Pitfall69Pitfall69 Member Posts: 11,454
I will have to do that, but if the Imperial Shuttle is sold out, how am I supposed to get a replacement.

^ I like how the picture has been slightly photoshopped so that TC-14 has a more golden loook! Clever...

OMG. Someone is trying to flip one for £70, also calling it a C-3PO. Not bad for a £50 spend!

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEGO-CHROME-SILVER-TC-14-PROTOCOL-DROID-SEALED-C-3PO-LIMITED-RARE-COLLECTORS-/140740463358?pt=UK_Construction_Toys_Kits&hash=item20c4c90afe

That user regularly sells (or, attempts to) promo polybags for a ridiculous sum. She was doing the same with the Shirtless Darth Maul polys too.

*I have a shockingly good memory when it comes to faces and names. Funnily enough it also extends to online usernames, some of which I recognize even after a number of years. I can still never remember where I put my goddamned phone charger though...
  • monkeyhangermonkeyhanger Member Posts: 3,170
In a years time £70 might not be far off the normal price for a TC-14 if Lego don't dump more in future promotions. Giving one a golden tint via photoshop or similar and calling it a C3PO is shady though.

There is always someone trying to find a sucker and then there are those suckers born every day. At some point they meet up!!
  • BoiseStateBoiseState Member Posts: 804
If the chrome stormtroopers go for about $25, don't you think these will end up at around the same? Seems like the ST is more iconic than a TC-14.
  • AvengerDrAvengerDr Member Posts: 453
It also has to do with availability and quantity produced. How long were the STs available?
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,556
They were a promo item and also sold as the magnet set, which has meant many of them in circulation.
  • AvengerDrAvengerDr Member Posts: 453
Hence a reason for the TC-14 to be rarer as it was only available for two days IN ALL OF ETERNITY (!!)
  • cynthilinacynthilina Member Posts: 188
Allot will depend on what Lego decides to do. It seems that they are trying to break into the "action Figure" arena with some rather creative ideas. I personally got 10 TC-14's. 8 will be for trade soon.
  • dimefielddimefield Member Posts: 314
Got both orders today, IS and T1, each with a poster and a TC-14. Everything is in immactulate condition! Thanks Lego!
  • gold682gold682 Member Posts: 257
Hmmmm, my orders on May 5th. Just received a shipping notice for the SSD (was on back order when ordered), but alas the free promos attached to this order still show as "in process".
My IS order is still "in process" even though it was in stock when ordered and still shows on their website as in stock! Bizarre.
  • monkeyhangermonkeyhanger Member Posts: 3,170
I may have an answer as to why some orders are late, despite the items seemly being in stock. I rang up Lego UK and spoke to a very chirpy "Alexandra" to chase up a Superheroes order that hasn't budged from "in process" in a week, despite being in stock, and to chase up my VIP points. Orders have been held back for the R2 poster - they ran out. Alexandra said that those orders are supposed to ship tomorrow. R2 UCS is still expected to ship no earlier than May 24th currently. As usual, the Lego rep was extremely helpful and polite - those people love their jobs! My points will be manually added within 24 hours apparently.

So I got my backordered TC-14 in the mail today. I opened the padded envelope only to find that one end of the plastic bag that the minifigure comes in had been glued into the envelope seal, so the bag had glue and envelope residue on it. I am a little upset because of this, but do I bother calling up TLG about this and making a complaint? I'm not trying to be greedy here (I would LOVE to have a second TC-14), but what result could I expect from complaining?
  • starfire2starfire2 Member Posts: 1,335
^ Probably nothing, I don't think they put a high value in the free promos.
  • mattheww888mattheww888 Member Posts: 87
So I went ahead and sent TLG a complaint email, stating the problem and asking what their policy is regarding damaged packaging. A couple hours later, I received a reply stating they would be shipping me another TC-14! I in no way insinuated I wanted a replacement, but that's the response I got. Way to go Lego customer service!
  • Pitfall69Pitfall69 Member Posts: 11,454
Received a new IS today. Now to send the damged one back. Lego customer service was great.
  • rolyateelrolyateel Member Posts: 42
    Received my 10225 today.
They've run out of R2-D2 posters, so shipped a second TC-14 instead along with a Lego tote bag.
    Sweet
  • monkeyhangermonkeyhanger Member Posts: 3,170
rolyateel: Where are you based. Ordered my R2 on 4th May and it's on hold until 24th May. No mention of anything to make up for the wait here in the UK, although I was aware that they had ran out of posters which held up another order for items which were in stock. That order was finally posted on Tues when more posters were printed.
  • Brewer51Brewer51 Member Posts: 248
I got my TC-14 today, and the Mini-Tie Fighter.

Also got a letter saying they were out of posters...so they sent me another TC-14! Surely the resale value of a TC-14 (I'm planning on keeping them for at least a year) far outweighs the value of the poster?

They also sent me a little Lego fold up bag, but the missus can have that.
  • AvengerDrAvengerDr Member Posts: 453
^ if you really miss the R2D2 poster I can swap my three spares for your spare TC-14 :D

  • monkeyhangermonkeyhanger Member Posts: 3,170
rolyateel - Were you ever told your R2 was out of stock and not to expect it until 24th or similar? They were "in stock" when I placed my order, just wondering as if you were told same as me and you have yours, mine might be on its way now.
  • SpaceCakeSpaceCake Member Posts: 291
Yeeeah!!!! My order arrived and I ALSO got two TC-14's instead of just one and the poster!
