Bad Parts in 10302 Optimus Prime?

I was wondering if anyone else was having problems with the arm staying up holding the gun? I bought, and built it day one. I only transformed him two or three times. I have him had him in robot from since day one. The arm wont stay up holding the gun.  There is very little sound in the ratchet joint when trying to pose the arm, and the arm wont stay up even when empty now. I'm thinking it's part #48442 or #47455. Since #48442 has only been in red for two sets starting this year, that is leading me to think that's the one causing the problem.

I'm not trying to be a smartass, but are you sure the two parts are completely clicked together? I don't remember which set, but I recently had a similar problem. Turned out that the joint wasn't actually fully connected.

I thought that too, but double checked everything. There was no play in the connection. It's tightly together.

I'm going to lean towards you having a bad part. My copy of the set stays holding the gun just fine - as a matter of fact that's how I have it displayed right now and everything is staying put just fine.

Guess I should of said it only started happening a few days ago, as I it worked fine the first two weeks. Tomorrow I'm going to a few LEGO Stores, and will see if they heard anything about it. Hopefully it's just a bad part, and not problem with the whole batch.
