I have spent a while trying to work out the box distribution on the Muppets Minifigures 71035 6 packs. Hopefully it would have gained an easy way for buyers to pick up 12 figures and for sellers to sort out sets of 12 easily.
Unfortunately it is not that easy.
I opened a sealed case of 48 figures (8 packs of 6). I weighed each box hoping that there would be 2 differing weights resulting in a full set of 12 by combining the 2 differing weights. That did not work. The empty boxes can be up to 1gram different in weight. Below are the results
2 x packs had;
Bunsen
Rowlf
Waldorf
Janice
Animal
Gonzo
These boxes weighed 110.84 and 110.75 grams
2 x packs had;
Bunsen
Rowlf
Waldorf
Piggy
Beaker
Fozzie
These boxes weighed 109 and 109.3 grams
2 x packs had;
Gonzo
Janice
Statler
Animal
Chef
Kermit
These boxes weighed 110.19 and 110.76 grams
1 x pack had;
Piggy
Beaker
Fozzie
Bunsen
Waldorf
Rowlf
This box weighed 108.78 grams
1 x pack had;
Statler
Beaker
Piggy
Chef
Kermit
Fozzie
This box weighed 109.1 grams
As a result, you can get 3 full sets of 12 if you pick luckily. Note that three different box configurations (5 boxes in total) contained Bunsen, Rowlf and Waldorf.
Also four boxes contained Piggy, Beaker & Fozzie.
In this sealed case there was also not 4 complete sets. There was one missing of Kermit, Chef and Statler. There was one extra of Bunsen, Waldorf & Rowlf.
I hope this helps someone.
