Just saw this on ebay (item # 330691817394). Dude is asking $9999 for a collector edition UCS Falcon numbered 691. The box isn't mint and it's not sealed but hey you get free shipping. Did this person not do any research at all before posting this auction? What's the insertion fee for $10K? Just wow.

Some idiot is going to think he is getting a good deal on an "exclusive/limited edition" item and purchase it.

Don't have any problems with it. If someone is willing to pay that price, that's their prerogative.

Just because its listed at that price, doesn't mean its going to sell at that price.

Oh my, the infamous #691, didn't think we'd see this set become available to the public for quite awhile.

    Or...

Perhaps it was also for sale on Bricklink, someone bought it there and paid via echeck, so while waiting for the payment to clear, the price was raised there so it didn't double sell, but if the echeck didn't clear, then the listing fee on eBay didn't have to be paid twice.

    Just saying... :)

Some people try and sell the CC Boba Fett for $1000 too.. You always see the most ridiculously priced stuff on EBay

Looks like the guy ended the auction. Weird.

@BoiseState- I've seen that listing. Ridiculous. I even messaged the seller and offered a nice price for both, and he said the "asking price is listed" at $999.99. Crazy.

I think with LFT's post we can safely close this thread.
