Valuation Question 6990

I have been gifted a #6990 by my aunt. I am not a massive space fan so I was going to move it on. I have looked on bricklink for prices. However, this is missing the figures. So I am not sure what price to put it up for. It looks complete but I need to put it together.

You definitely need to build it! And play with it... you might just decide to keep it!

Ha! I wish I will build it and play with it just to check that it is all working. I also stupidly promised the wife that the sets would be sold to put towards a holiday.

I would say that if you want to move it, then you want to at least print out a BL inventory of the set and bag it up to see what is missing. IMO As long as you are not missing any of the expensive stuff like monorail motor, chassis, or track, then you will make out far better than selling it incomplete (including the instruction book, but I think the instructions are worth a fortune now as well)...OR... Sell it but note what is missing at least so the next person that buys it know what they will need to do, but I think selling something complete is a lot easier to document than selling something missing x,y,and z, but that's just my two cents.
Finally I will say this, its a real gem of a set if complete and lets be honest, these monorail sets are not getting cheaper, so be sure you really do not want it before selling it.

As fortunately the monorail, chassis and motor are all there along with the instructions and box. Although this does not have the flap it is a lift up box.
